At this time of the year, we found park very peaceful. Although there are a number of onsite vans, there are very few permanents. Cohuna is not an industrial town,
it relies on mainly the rural sector and tourists. It has a nice little shopping strip, with most wants catered for. It has a brand new Tourist Information Centre,
with a large range of items produced in the surrounding area for sale. You must try Jonesy's Milk. This is produced and bottled at Kerang, just up the road. This is
real farm fresh milk. In town, check out Bower Tavern, for a great meal with a nice atmosphere.
Very friendly staff, staff offered tourist advice, staff explained park layout and facilities.
Good value for money ($28 2A, powered, off-peak season). We paid $25.20 because of FPA member.
Amenity number was adequate to cope with the number of people, are close to most sites, were clean, condition is good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot
water, soap provided, paper towels/dryer provided, exhaust fans/good ventilation, disabled facilities.
Adequate number of tourist sites, some level sites, good night lighting, very few annex slabs, shade to some sites, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by.
Good laundry, late checkout allowed, kiosk, dump point, secure entry, van parking, wireless internet is available, you can use your mobile wireless (carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 5).
Peaceful, open & roomy park, plenty of shade, a few permanents.
Clean UC gas bbq (pay), congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq.
Good playground in good condition.
Clean pool is shaded, kid-safe pool area, tables and chairs provided, toddlers catered for.
Suitable for a week or more, suitable for families, well maintained park, park is considered kid-safe.
Likes: It was a short walk to shopping strip and sporting facilities. There are plenty of local attractions, park has 2 dump points, boat ramp, children's activities
in school holiday periods, jumping pillow and tennis/basketball courts close by.
Parking: Just watch for entrance. You have to drive under verandah in front of office, unless you have a large van, Motorhome or 5th Wheeler.

Tourist sites in two main groups in amongst heaps of permanent vans.
The permanents were reasonably tidy. I had a lovely unpowered site under some willows on the river bank with my back to the permanents. This was the saving grace of
my stay. Holiday time it would be busy and noisy and not so pleasant.
Friendly staff, staff explained park layout and facilities.
Reasonable value for money ($24 1A per night, unpowered). We paid $21.60 because of FPA discount.
Amenity number was adequate to cope with the number of people, are close to most sites, cleanliness was average, condition is reasonable, water pressure is good,

Clean UC electric bbq (free), congenial bbq area atmosphere.
Good playground in good condition. No pool.
Suitable for a week or more, well maintained park.
Likes: Right on the Gunbower Creek which is OK for swimming. Great park out of season but would be busy in the peak school
holidays. Good facilities for kids and walking distance to town. Reasonable base for exploring the area. If you have kids or a dog then
stop here, otherwise some of the other parks in the area may be more suited to an extended stay, like Swan Hill, etc.
Dislikes: The facilities are older but clean and well maintained.
Parking: Pull into the special check-in entrance immediately after the main entrance booms.

This large and busy park is situated next to the Murray River and is a short walk to the historic port area. Sites have concrete slabs or
shade cloth on the ground and all roads in the area are sealed. When they clean the amenities block the hose gets turned on everything which
results in large pools of water that take several hours to dry up in the cooler months.

Stayed for 2 nights. Had stayed here several years earlier. No clear signs of improvements to the park for caravaners since my previous visit.
Shower / toilet facilities are tired and in need of maintenance and need some attempt made to restrict or control access by hoards of insects overnight.
This also was a problem at my last visit. Van sites have little or no grass although some have concrete pads. They need some tidying up. Conversely, cabins
appear to be well maintained and some have access to well manicured lawn surrounds. The major attraction of this park is its close proximity to the CBD,
river and tourist precinct.

This is a large park with good secure access and very close to the Heritage Precinct and main street.
The grounds are well maintained, with flat sites, many drive throughs and sealed roads. The reception
was friendly and helpful. At $27 per night after the discount for Top Tourist membership it is not the
cheapest. However it has does have all the facilities for families like a pool and large playground.
There are plenty of showers and toilets and whilst the facilities were well tiled and new basins etc it
gave the impression of needing some attention. Very little hangers in the shower or toilet cubicles, no
places for the soap or shampoo in the shower itself. The shower had plenty of hot water with good pressure.
Dispensing soap was provided at hand basins. The park was pretty busy when we were there because of the
Winter Blues Festival (which is worth a look in July of each year). As a result the facilities were a bit
grotty by mid morning with lots of water pooling on both floors in the men's and ladies facilities.
Many cubicles had lots of mud in them and there needs to be more than one bucket and mop during winter -
by 9am it was a sea of mud. Apart from that grizzle, the park is a good one and worth a long stay.
Lots to see and do in Echuca/Moama.

Noisy, open & roomy park, not enough shade, family/friendly atmosphere.
Clean bbq (free), congenial bbq area atmosphere.
Dirty pool, kid-safe pool area.
Suitable for a week or more, well maintained park.
Likes: Close to town and Port of Echuca; the free WiFi internet; roomy showers and wash basin areas
Dislikes: The fact that as there was no camping area, tents were among the powered sites and the ones near us were young -
noisy arriving; and noisy again after midnight getting back from the pub or club. $4 for washing machines is too much. Ducks in the swimming pool at dawn.
Added Touches: Free internet on your enabled laptop
Local Information: Echuca is a lovely town and the Port of Echuca was great. The pies and cakes at the Echuca branch of the Beechworth bakery were good too

The park was generally neat and tidy, but the amenities need some TLC. The showers were not good (fluctuating temperature)
and the shower heads point directly at the changing area with no shower curtain. The nearest laundry block had one only a
washing machine - there are 2 amenities blocks. There were three electric BBQ's (small fee) spread around the park, but only
one near us and that was in the camp kitchen, so fairly busy - 3 BBQ's for around 160 tourist sites. Most sites were near level,
and with shade cloth pegged down instead of concrete. Looks reasonable but harder to keep clean, particularly with the ducks
wandering around leaving deposits. My wife commented that the ducks had also visited the ladies loo, leaving deposits on the
vanity tops. $27 per night less TTP discount for powered site, 2A - only average value. Mix of drive-thru and back-in sites.
The park would be suitable for several days (we stayed 2 nights) but we will try elsewhere next time.
Friendly staff.

Based on reviews of other caravan parks in the area, we were unsure where to stay. We do not like parks with too many permanent cabins. We decided to stay at Rich River as it was a BIG4 and
their facilities and parks are generally very good. We phoned to book 3 nights and were horrified to discover the peak rate was $50, but thought it was probably a really nice park and we wanted
to play golf in the area. When we arrived at the entrance we were very disappointed, the park is old and run-down looking. We asked the lady in reception if we could look around, the sites are
scrubby and grass sparse, concrete slabs to some sites only. We had to level our van side to side. We told the lady we thought $50 was very expensive and without much further discussion she
reduced our rate from $50 to $40 ($36 with discount). We found this very strange – was she "chancing her arm" at $50?
Dislikes: Amenities block is old and only average clean, too many permanents, sites not well maintained.

Plenty of river walks outside the park, dog leash free. A family activity park with tennis courts, canoes, fishing. When we arrived they had just opened after being

get away from it all. Take repellent as there were plenty of mossies.

Likes: Lovely green oasis in the middle of the forest (yes it is green like their website). Well stocked and reasonably priced
kiosk with ice at reasonable price ($3 bag). Dogs welcome on leash, river suitable for people and dog swimming a 5 minute walk
through the forest, pool was lovely and cool. Free entertainment provided on NYE.
Dislikes: The drive to the park from Echuca is gravel/sharp rock and travelling to and from Echuca was a little worrying in
regards to punctures. A couple of the toilets tended to block on occasion. The shower cubicles need to be a little bigger -
currently there is only a tiny shelf to put clothes/toilet bag on which is above the shower head. There is not a separate area to
dry/dress. Some free or even coin operated gas bbqs would be handy for people camping in tents - currently there is wood fire bbqs.
There may have been a free gas bbq near the rec room but as we had a dog we couldn't go in to the rec room area.
Local Information: We ventured in to Echuca and were able to eat outside at the Dock pub a number of times with our dog - very nice meal and a reasonable price.

Pet friendly. Very disappointing site as it is the only one we could find that would allow dogs that was near Echuca. Site is made up of
mostly permanent vans in rather rough condition and appears to cater for those who have water skiing boats. The few caravan sites that are
available are at the back closest to the river. There is some sparse grass covering but our site was all dirt. The amenities block is a
distance away from the caravan sites located in amongst the permanents. There is however a 3 toilet block with one shower in a tin shed near
the caravan sites which is rather primitive. Unable to tune in TV and difficulty with finding a non-Next G phone signal. There is a lovely
walk along the river in the State Park where dogs can be walked. We booked in 4 nights and stayed 2.
Reasonable value for money. Good sites.

Yarraby is a bit out of town, located on the banks of the Murray River, it is a large park filled mostly with onsite cabins and vans. Most of the van sites are down along the river,
although you can't see the river for the trees. The Murray is close by, accessed by a walking path - great for a spot of fishing (license required). The amenities were outstanding,
very modern and sparkling clean. The showers had quality fittings (a rarity), music playing and a very well equipped family bathroom - large bath tub, baby bath and separate toilet,
all sparkling clean. The family bathroom did not require a special key/deposit which was nice for a change. There is a tennis court, mini-golf, a nice playground and pool.
The games room had three free Playstation consoles (bookings required during busy times), a pool table, a special room for kids club and a reading room with book swap and internet access.

Local Information: You can fish from the nearby river bank or just pick up your camp chair and wander down with your coffee in the morning and sit peacefully by the
river. Some nights the paddle steamers come up the river past the park which is very exciting to see.

Went searching for a cabin on Australia Day and arrived here after a few false starts. Although a little pricey at $140 a night,
the cabin was actually the largest we have stayed in, and was the most basic of the cabins they have. Big kitchen with full size
fridge and gas cooker, 6 seater dining table, big bathroom, 2 bedrooms, one with double bed one with bunks. However no outdoor
setting and a tiny 34cm TV on top of the fridge a fair way away from the couch. The park seems to be heavily geared to permanents
and annuals, out of 254 sites there are 23 various cabins and 38 powered sites (12 ensuite). The sites are seemingly devoid of
grass but are in a great spot about 1 minute's walk from the Murray (2 beaches about 5 mins walk from there). 2 big swimming pools,
one shaded, very good size and nice and deep. 2 BBQs in the area we were in but one not working, taps and seating provided.
Pin-pad boom gate security. Excellent response on arrival, staff member took Ron out to have a look at the cabins, and we were
given an Aspen Parks 10% off voucher when leaving. However when we were leaving it must have been bin day and all the bins had
been removed to the road so had to walk all our rubbish out there to dispose of it - a bit strange. Overall though a lovely
park in a great spot and if you are travelling with kids they certainly won't be bored.
Very friendly staff, staff helped us at the site, staff explained park layout and facilities.
Reasonable value for money ($140 2A per night, cabin, peak season).
Cabin was clean, condition is good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, separate bathroom, soap provided.
Inadequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate small to medium vans,
concrete annex slabs to most sites, shade to some sites.
Good rec room, kiosk, car wash, dump point, secure entry.
Peaceful, claustrophobic park, plenty of shade, no permanents.
Clean UC electric bbq ($1 per 20 mins), congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq.
Excellent playground in good condition.
Clean pool is shaded, kid-safe pool area, tables and chairs provided, toddlers catered for.
Suitable for a week or more, suitable for families, well maintained park, park is considered kid-safe.
Likes: Very quiet and picturesque location on the Murray
Dislikes: Pool closes too early for this time of year (8pm), miniscule television in cabin, rules and regulations
over the top and hire charges and costs are a little steep
Added Touches: Heaps of stuff for kids - 3 playgrounds, 2 pools, theatre room, Kids Club (school holidays)
table soccer, table tennis, play stations, mini golf, basketball, volleyball
Local Information: Be sure to take Buster's tour of the Echuca wharf precinct combined with a paddle steamer cruise.

A very well maintained country park on the outskirts of town. Very friendly owners made us feel most welcome. They have worked tirelessly to get the park up and running
after the floods earlier in the year and is a real credit to them. $22 2A per night good value for money. The large amenities block was spotless as was the laundry,
where they provided a washing basket, pegs and three large rotary clothes lines. Large, grassed sites suitable for big rigs. Ample shade, no sullage. Tap water to sites
was OK for showers, but drinking water available from a tank near the laundry. No dedicated dump point. Book exchange. A few permanents but quiet. Great camp kitchen,
BBQ area, games room, separate ironing room, separate disabled facilities. Swimming pool, no playground.

Very small caravan park, poorly maintained and very untidy. A handful of powered sites on dirt and dead grass, reasonable shade, no annexe
pads, no sullage. Water in taps is not potable and appears to be lake water. Drinking water available from rainwater tank. Amenities very old
and tired, maintained to minimum standard. However shower cubicles were very roomy. Such was colour of water that we forewent showers. Park has
frontage to lake on a dry mud shoreline, reached past piles of rubbish. No other facilities except basic BBQ area. Public phone at shop. Poor TV

A reasonable park, but showing its age in some areas. When "exploring" after a long day in the car I had to help 2 separate caravaners back into their
allotted spaces, as the park was surprisingly full at the time (second week of NSW school holidays). Very tight spacing, but OK for most vans and people
with good backing skills. The cabins were close to the highway, but noise was not really an issue. A few permanents seem to be towards the back of the park
and were happy to chat when we walked past.

A nice, peaceful, relaxed park on the banks of the Murray with paddle boats passing every day. It was packed for the Mildura Country Music
Festival when we arrived and coped easily. After the Festival the fees (2A powered site) dropped from $29 per night to a mere $22.30 per night.
Plenty of trees and grass, no concrete pads, level sites with plenty of room, power and water no problem. Can accommodate any size caravan from
converted buses down. Park is about 5 km downstream from Mildura town with pleasant riverside walks. The staff are nice and friendly; essentials
available from the shop. Two large amenity blocks okay with soap and hot air driers. Two laundries likewise. Just a few permanents well scattered
around the park and no problems. Roads bitumen. A large inflated cushion for the kids which is very popular, also a play park for younger kids. A
very relaxed atmosphere and suitable for a longer stay. Mildura, too, is friendly and relaxed with everything you want.
Likes: Before the Festival influx they found a spur-winged plover nesting on the ground. That site was cordoned off until the chicks hatched
and left the nest, the income from the site sacrificed during their busiest week.

Helpful pleasant management are a big plus when rating this park. Sites have some grass & most are ensuite. Many are drive
through. Sites are well maintained, considering the lack of water, level & facilities are clean. Hot water to showers in the

ridden our bikes through some of the other similar rated parks in Mildura this park is amongst the best in town. In general

We booked late and in the high season of the Country Music Festival and school holidays. So the best site available was right
at the front of the park and it was very noisy right thru the night and day. However the owners were friendly and explained the
problems with the site when we booked. The park is relatively small with grassed and slab sites available. The showers and toilets
are old and in need of some care and maintenance. Would probably look to stay outside of Mildura next time. At $31.50 after the
discount the price was a bit high for the facilities. Dump site is right next door to some poor bugger's annexe - but at least there
is one! Would be OK for a long stay but be sure to get a site down the back of the park.

Park changed hands the week before we stayed, the new owners seem keen to spruce the place up a bit. We had an ensuite site, nice big ensuite but no separate
shower cubicle, just a curtained off area, so floor got splashed and therefore got dirty easily. Good cupboard to unpack into. Good long towel rail plus several hooks.
Pathetic exhaust fan although 2 windows helped make up for it, hot water could have been a bit hotter. Most sites have concrete slab for both annex and van, but
car is parked on dirt and you have to walk across dirt to get off the site, so it was hard to keep the van clean. Park has separate disabled bathroom, plus 3 'family'
bathrooms with bath and shower, as well as usual amenities blocks. Most ensuite sites and quite a few powered sites were drive through. Park is on highway so there is
some noise, but we weren't disturbed by it.

Chose to stay at this caravan park because the two previous reports rated it as a 5. However, although it is a quite adequate park with clean facilities and thereby meets
our particular (grey nomad) needs, it does not have the "extras" that would qualify it for that highest rating. $25 per night, 2A, powered. Number of tourist sites is
adequate, nicely grassed, a little narrow, mostly level sites, with sullage, most with annex slabs and shade. Would not accommodate big rigs. No ensuites. No drive-thru
(stay hitched). One amenity block, very clean, soap and dryers at hand-basins, no disabled facilities. Basic laundry. Basic camp kitchen. Free, clean gas BBQs, undercover.
No rec room. No dump point. No secure entry. No kiosk. No car wash. No wireless internet. Good Telstra NextG mobile phone and mobile internet. Clean pool with kid-safe
fencing, table and chairs, not shaded. No toddlers pool. No kids playground. Very few permanents. Night lighting could be better (needed torch for safe transit to amenities).
We would stay here again.
Likes: Quiet park, clean amenities.
Dislikes: No dump point.

Friendly, welcoming management showed us to our choice of the shady sites. Spotless amenities, manicured lawns and gardens make this an idyllic park for a
few days or longer. Concrete annexe slabs, water and sullage to all of the well grassed sites, some of which are drive through. We particularly enjoyed a dip or
two in the very clean pool and she who must be obeyed used the well equipped laundry ($1 coin operated). Although this is the closest park to Mildura's CBD, it is
very quiet but it's too far to walk to town. We highly recommend this park and so do our 2 dogs.

Fairly easy to find park, manager was very friendly and helpful. Office was run down and Managers smoking inside wasn't pleasant.
Directed to a couple of different sites. Park was very run down and unkempt. Park really needs some TLC. There was rubbish left
lying around everywhere. They only collected garbage twice a week and it was very smelly. Not enough bins at all. They were
obviously using grey water to water around pool area and it smelled terrible. Lots of permanents with below average accommodation.
Park seemed to be used by a lot of backpackers & grape pickers because it was very cheap. They were friendly enough.
Average management, friendly management, management responsive to comments, management was helpful.
Reasonable value for money.
Poor amenities (broken knobs handles, doors etc), unclean, adequate number to cater for tourists, close to sites, water pressure was okay.
Poor sites (all sites were a dust bowl), sites were level, drive-through sites were available, adequate taps close by,
adequate sullage close by.
Laundry was filthy.
Poor atmosphere to park, too many permanents for this park.
Average clean pool.

This is an RV Friendly town. 2 large open grassy areas available for self-contained RVs. One is on the highway side of the facility with some open grassy areas and
others amongst the trees. The 2nd is on the other side of the facility close to the river Murray, also some open areas and others amongst the trees. Rooms for dozens of
rigs of all size. Mostly quite level. There are toilets available and a Dump-Ezy dump point with a potable water tap nearby. No charge but a donation is requested to the
Lions Club at the local general store. In this small town there are 3 shops including a pizza parlour which has really good pizzas. They also sell a wide range of wines,
beers and spirits including a surprisingly good range of European wines. This is also a fuel outlet. One general store is also the post office. Good for an overnighter or a

This park is a perfect overnighter and geared for that. The welcome was very friendly. Last time we stayed we had a bad night because the sheep sale
yards across the road were full, lots of sheep noise, trucks going all night and a couple of trains during the night as well. This time we were allocated
a site out the back of the park and it was peaceful even though the sale yards were full again. There was some occasional truck noise but it was quite
muffled down the back. The park grounds are not particularly well kept although the sites are flat and easy to manoeuvre onto with everybody able to stay
hitched up. The amenities are old, but clean and acceptable. Good hot shower. The camp kitchen is basic and very ordinary. Dump point available. Don't
expect any frills but reasonable value for money at $25. We would stay again, not the Hilton, but a good overnighter.
Likes: Short walk to town. Flat, accessible sites with ability to stay hitched up.

Is there a better park in Australia where you can relax in such surroundings and enjoy the company of fellow travellers - we really doubt it. This visit was our fourth to
the park in the past six years and every time it gets better. Geoff & Jenny, the excellent owners, just keep improving on the perfect facilities; from the level grassed sites
that lead right onto the mighty Murray, the excellently maintained modern amenities block, the manicured approaches and rose gardens; everything is all that we Grey Nomads can
ask for. Add to that the easy 5 minute walk into the township, the cycle and walking tracks abounding, the user friendly local golf course and the excellent facilities of the
nearby Euston Club, all contribute to the reasons we place this as one of our very favourite parks in Australia. The mere fact that when we were there in October, 80% of those
we talked and fished with had extended their stays, confirms our feelings for this Park. Oh, yes and we have re-routed our return to NSW to stay there again on our return home.

Dislikes: This park extremely untidy and dusty, muddy in rain. Mainly permanents and seasonal fruit pickers. Old and damaged on-site vans all over the
park for the permanents and seasonal workers. Cabins are old and tired looking. No maintenance has been done for a long time by the look of it.
Parking: Outside office for just one van

This park has a range of accommodation including cabins, on-site vans, powered and unpowered sites. There are also 2 ensuite
powered sites. Only some of the sites and cabins have a view of the river and even that is limited, and does not compare to the
alternative park the Robinvale Riverside Caravan Park. Those powered and unpowered sites near the river share a small amenities
block of 2 toilets and 2 showers (for Gents, assume Ladies is similar). The facilities were clean. The sites on the higher levels
do not have river views, and are fairly dry and dusty. We had an ensuite powered site priced at $23.40 2A after TTP member discount.
The water pressure was nothing to write home about, but plenty of hot water, and dry change area. Manager advised that water to the
park is untreated river water, okay for washing etc, but recommended using tank water for drinking (available). We were happy for
the one night in the ensuite site, but if staying longer, or if you wanted a better view of the river in a greener park, I would
recommend trying the Robinvale Riverside Caravan Park.
Friendly staff, no complaints, staff offered tourist advice, van parking assistance provided by staff, staff explained park layout and facilities.
Price was as expected, good value for money ($26 2A per night powered).
Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, poor night lighting, average sized sites, poor water quality, adequate taps close by.
Basic laundry, good rec room, good camp kitchen, kiosk.
Quiet, plenty of shade.
Clean UC gas bbq ($1), bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq.

A quiet little caravan park in a friendly little town on the Campaspe River. This park was completely flooded in January and is still using a generator for power.
But it has been cleaned up and the ablutions have been repaired and painted well. It is a very pleasant place to stay for a few days or more.
Friendly staff, staff helped us at the site.
Good value for money ($22 2A per night, powered, peak season).
Amenity number was adequate to cope with the number of people, are close to most sites, were clean, condition is good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water.
Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, annex slabs to some sites, shade to some sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by.
Good laundry, no rec room, late checkout allowed, no wireless internet available, you can use your mobile wireless (carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 4).
Peaceful, open & roomy park, plenty of shade.
No playground, no pool.
Suitable for a week or more, well maintained park.

The park is a wildlife friendly park so domestic dogs definitely do not fit.
We have not been caravanning for very long but we found it to be a friendly park. There are a lot of vans that are there all year round
and they are more than helpful and most are very friendly. Lots of kids. We did notice that the parents actually did things with their kids
instead of just sending them off. We seemed to fit in very well. We never had any reason to complain so I could not answer that question.
We liked the new toilet block, even though it is a nightmare for Don, thanks to the builder leaving his plans home.
Very friendly staff, staff offered tourist advice, staff explained park layout and facilities.
Reasonable value for money ($36.50 2A 2C per night).

Basic playground in average condition.
Clean pool is shaded, tables and chairs provided, toddlers catered for.

Likes: Don tells us that the park has been in drought for 10 years now and that they lost most of the trees. They are re planting but it takes time.
Never too busy to say hi. The park is green and the basin is about 80% full. Great for water sports. They have a new amenities block. We enjoyed our stay and in fact have re booked for Cup weekend.
Dislikes: No sullage at the top end of the park - not much to dislike. Maybe entrance to park could be better defined, there are 2 ways in but both lead to the office.
Parking: Plenty of room to pull up outside the office
Added Touches: It is one of the few parks left that allow fires in your own drum. You have to supply your own wood but that is understandable.
Roads: Road good

Our hosts were Don Moschetti & Rosemary Tate. Upon arrival to the park we were given a park map outlining our site, Don offered to
take us down to show us and provide any assistance we needed, which was a great help after a long day on the road. We found the park
to be a very quiet country/bush setting with plenty of natural wildlife in and around the park. It's always a joy to see Kangaroos and
grass parrots. The site was well shaded and out of the hot afternoon sun. Cassie and I enjoyed a nice refreshing swim in the clean shaded
pool. Great idea was the adult's hour between 7 and 8pm, which meant no children! Bonus! The amenities are old but well maintained and
very clean, hot water was excellent and plenty of pressure. Don & Rosemary showed us the plans for the new amenities block being built
in 2008, which will have a separate camp kitchen, baby bath and disabled toilets. They also appear to be investing heavily in water
saving devices to make the building environmentally sustainable, which I think is fantastic. Rosemary advised Cassie that full details
of the new building and its water and energy saving abilities will be listed on the parks website in Feb 08 - we will be keeping an eye
on this for sure. I was amazed at the size of Waranga Basin on which the park is located on its banks the lake is 10km by 10km and had
plenty of water, ideal for fishing and water skiing. The sites are of an average size but enough room for our van and awning and car
park. Kiosk was well stocked and has an array of local attraction brochures. Loved the idea of keyed toilets, which provides security
and assurances to customers, wasn't phased by paying the key deposit. All in all a great experience look forward to returning late 2008
to see the new amenities block.

The park is on the Murray Valley Hwy and is easy to find at the western end of the town. It is well maintained and cared for. The ensuites have

into the van and the ensuite. There is a pool and children's playground which look well cared for. Suitable for any length stay.

We had an ensuite site. Lovely spacious ensuite with big towel rails, separate shower cubicle with curtain, cupboard for unpacking into and a chair.
Powered sites have annexe slab but ensuite sites don't, it rained while we were there so our site got a bit muddy and it leaked into the ensuite, but the
park is generally reasonably well grassed. Checked out the facilities which looked very clean with soap and paper towels. There were also several 'family bathrooms'
with shower and bath as well as a disabled bathroom.

We had a 2 bedroom cabin the weekend before Australia Day. Park is extremely green and well grassed, quite a novelty to see sprinklers
going everywhere with the water restrictions in Melbourne. Cabin was very comfortable and well equipped, full size fridge and full gas cooker.
1 bedroom double bed, the other 3 bunks. Outdoor furniture provided but it is on its last legs. We had the basic cabin option but there
are other choices which looked very good. The kiosk is well equipped and licensed with beer, wine and alcopops available for reasonable prices.
Don't be concerned that it is situated on the highway as the traffic noise is minimal. The only downsides we could see were that the
pool was probably not big enough for a full house (park about 3/4 full when we were there), there is only a small wire fence between the
park and the motel next door, and there is not a lot of shade around the powered sites, some tents were there and we wondered how
they would go in the 37 degree weather we had. Overall however a very well run park and would definitely return.
Very friendly staff.
Very reasonable value for money ($105 2A per night less BIG4 discount (total $184 for 2 nights) cabin, peak season).
Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate medium to large vans,
concrete annex slabs to some sites, very few sites are shaded.
Good rec room.
Quiet, open & roomy park, not enough shade, no permanents.
Clean UC gas bbq (free), congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq.
Basic playground in good condition.
Clean heated pool is shaded, kid-safe pool area, tables and chairs provided, toddlers catered for.

Likes: Solar heated pool which is open until 9pm, position close to the centre of Swan Hill
Dislikes: No secure entry which seemed a bit odd
Added Touches: Heaps of stuff for the kids - bikes for hire, bike rally track, tennis court (equipment can be hired),
rec room, playground although the jumping pillow was deflated, don't know what happened there
Local Information: The Pioneer Settlement is fascinating - they have an amazing collection of period items - allow a
good few hours to see everything properly. The pheasant farm tour is also very good. There's a district and city driving
tour on the Swan Hill tourism website also.

Easy to find: just on the western end of town on the western side of the railway line.
The owners were in the office upon our arrival and it was nice to have friendly, smiling
people in reception at a BIG4 park. The park is green and spacious. A number of native trees are
around the park but not enough to make it look overcrowded. Some sites have concrete pads,
some just nice green grass.
The amenity block is clean and bright and the showers flow strong and hot. There are
attractive curtains in the showers but one negative: the drying area is very small. Compared to
many caravanners I am fairly slim but I found it difficult to dry myself properly and, to exit the
shower cubicle, you have to step back into the shower to open the door. Plenty of washbasins
with soap and paper towels provided.
There is an excellent camp kitchen, with attractive tables and chairs, inside and out, full
electric stove, microwave, fridge, etc, two barbecue areas with free electric BBQs, children's
playground, huge jumping pillow and a shaded swimming pool and toddler's pool. There is a
bike track and a tennis court.

Large caravan park, sites along the river and also non-river sites. Most sites generally level and some with concrete slabs. No local map or tourist information provided at check-in.
We asked to change sites, as the site next to us had 3 tents and not much space to park, also a large tree would be at the entrance to the annexe. The park is on the Murray River with access for fishing.
Grass is well maintained. Riverside sites are expensive at $43 2A ($38.70 with discount). The combined toilets and showers block were average/good clean.
There is a bbq hut, swimming pool (no shower) and laundry. Digital only TV channels available, signal a bit sporadic, vast system not available on our site due to trees in the area, there is
good telephone and internet coverage (Telstra), water pressure is very strong, dump point.
Dislikes: The sites along the river are packed very close together, no space between caravans. Long and narrow, so plenty of space to park the car.

This was our first time in this park and we were very impressed. The managers were very helpful and came by to see if we required assistance to park up.
Our site was beside the river and it was wonderful being able to sit beside the river and watch the wildlife and the paddle steamer Pyap go past. The park
was very quiet (it was the Queen's birthday weekend). There is a jumping pillow and the park beside the park has a great playground. There is a kiosk which
sells the basics and also discounted tickets to the pioneer settlement. The park is very close to town - an easy walk, but is not noisy and I could hear no

Response to complaints was good and bad. One thing I didn't like was when I made the booking I asked if there was access to the
river from the sites as my dogs like swimming and was told no problem they can get in and swim. My dog got sick the day before and
I tried to ring up to get a normal powered site but couldn't get through when I turned up I asked if I could be moved to a powered
site (there was plenty available) and was told I booked a river site and that was where I had to stay. I said my dog isn't allowed
near the water, she said well they can't get into it. I said well before I booked I asked if they could and I was told they could.
Two different things told. They overcharged me, and said they refunded the discount to my card, but they never did, but when I
emailed them to complain they rang me back the next morning and refunded the money straight away.
Average staff friendliness, van parking assistance provided by staff, staff helped us at the site.

Likes: The sites I had was big and many overlooked the Murray River. It was within walking distance to town and the Pioneer
Settlement, and after consulting with the management I was also allowed to leave my dogs unattended as they do not bark so I could
walk to the Pioneer Settlement. It is also next to a big park and most attractions are within walking distance.
Dislikes: Even though my site was nice and in the end no access to the river, I did not like the way the lady in the office
was when I was checking in. She overcharged me, and was not rude but not friendly. Even though they were busy, it is no excuse.
Parking: There was a parking bay when you check in.

This is a small quiet park within easy range of Swan Hill. The grounds are extensive as this used to have a fauna and flora park incorporated
but this has since fallen into decay. There are still a few animals around; deer, donkey, geese, roos. There are only 22 powered sites but all
have ensuites. Cabins are also available. Our ensuite had a sanitary slip over the lid of the toilet but it does not appear to have been cleaned.
Apart from that, the exhaust fan didn't work which was important because of a urine smell which arose because the toilet was leaking. The shower
was difficult to adjust and would keep changing between hot and cold every 1/2 minute or so. The fly screen was also ripped. The whole seemed to
indicate a lack of maintenance. We did report all this to management who seemed interested but we'll have to wait and see if repairs are actually
performed. There is no amenities block nor laundry. There is a swimming pool which looked OK. No concrete slabs but good grass cover. There is a
kiosk but it is rarely manned and has little stock. The office, too, is rarely manned and requires pushing an intercom button.

Not difficult to find. Managers Doug & Leanne. Very friendly and helpful in the office and on site. Quiet open grassy park, permanents are along the back fence.
Good access to mostly drive-thru shady sites, $22 2A powered. Banks, Target, cafes, post office, general shopping, all in walking distance on main street in Kyabram.
The toilet/shower block is small with limited facilities which could be tricky if park full. We booked in for 5 days and would come back to this nice little park when
in the area (why would we want to stay in Echuca parks with their inflated prices). Good roads all round. Bonuses: Deer park next door (Whitetail or Fallow),
good children's play area, and pool.

great bushwalking track, lovely green grass, playground, new amenity block, laundry, swimming pool, you can have a campfire, they even supply wood for a very small fee.

Likes: Main part of park is grassy and well kept, the staff worked tirelessly in peak period (Easter) to clean
and supervise & run the park during peak season
Dislikes: Dusty due to the dry conditions and traffic ignoring speed limits on unsealed roads. Noisy and overrun
with kids due to being peak holiday period and geared towards families. The pool was in use by hoards of kids yelling
and bombing all day and we did not really get the opportunity to use it. Not peaceful for anyone who is over kids yelling all day.

(understandably kids movies due to ratings), ran Easter egg hunt and Easter bonnet parade.
Local Information: Somewhat isolated location.
