Bothwell Camping Ground, Bothwell
Bothwell is off the beaten track in the central highlands of Tasmania. Ph: 03 6259 5503.
The park is nothing more than a gravel car
park with power and water outlets located behind the tourist information centre but at $14/night with free laundry and
dryer it is excellent value for money. One collects the keys to the showers from local council office. The Australian Golf
Museum and the oldest golf course in the southern hemisphere (dating from 1830s) make it a worthwhile stop for the golfer.
Overnight is plenty. It is a pretty lonely place on a cold and foggy night!

Great Lake Hotel Camping Area, Miena
Situated about 2 kms north of Miena.
UPDATED REPORT NEEDED
Powered sites away from the hotel, on the other side of the car park. Power, sullage and water to the sites, of which there are about 8.
Water pressure was lousy if piped thru mains pipes in van, thru filter,
easier to go outside direct from tap, quality ok. Toilets are the public ones to the side of the service station
just across the carpark. Meals excellent at the pub who was very friendly. Pay at the pub $10.
Park Rating 1.5: Suitable for overnighter.
