2-4 Tuit Rd. About 45 mins S Adelaide. Ph: 08 8556 6113. Family Parks member. Pets allowed, at manager's discretion.

Manager's name is Neale and Linda Geddes. Walking distance to Maslin Beach. Beware Maslin Beach is a nudist beach; need to walk about 500m along this beach to get to clothed beach. Park owners didn't mention this, not a problem for us but some may be offended. Reception staff seem disorganised with bookings, check booking dates and cost if you make one. Small animal farm with sheep and chooks. We were there during school holidays and opposite playground which became a teenager hangout after hours and was noisy. Noisy kids allowed to ride bikes around park all hours. Not ideal to stay during holidays unless you have kids. Average staff friendliness. Reasonable value for money ($29 2A, powered, peak season). Amenity number was adequate to cope with the number of people, are close to most sites, cleanliness was average, condition is reasonable, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, soap provided. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, no sites with concrete annex slabs, shade to most sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Late checkout allowed, kiosk, secure entry, internet wireless. Noisy, open & roomy park, plenty of shade, a few permanents. Dirty pool, kid-safe pool area. Suitable for a week or more, suitable for families, well maintained park, park is considered kid-safe.
Likes: Larger than average sites. Some lovely walks along cliff tops. Beautiful beaches at bottom of cliffs.
Dislikes: Kids allowed to run amuck around park. Pool not as clean as it should have been. Amenities got mucky and could have done with two cleans per day during busy time.
Local Information: Good spot to base for travelling to the Fleurieu peninsula. Close to Marion and Noarlunga large shopping centres.

12 km from city near corner of South Road and Sturt Rd. Ph: 08 8276 6695 or 1800 063 193. BIG4 member. No pets allowed.

This park only has about 34 power sites, the rest of the park being devoted to cabins presently numbering in excess of 60, with more planned. Only has 4 drive thru sites with 2 suited to large rigs and tight to get into due to trees. Situated on a busy main road with a U-turn required to access the entrance if coming from the coast side, so best to approach from South Rd and turn into Sturt Rd. If you have a high rig, watch the entrance as it is signed at 3.1m. Being on a main road and in close proximity to 3 other main roads, police, ambulance and fire stations, as well as a major hospital, and university road traffic noise can at times be a bit disturbing. The park is very popular and has a high occupancy rate, particularly in holiday periods with virtually 100% in both cabins and sites. Has all the features expected at a busy BIG4 with upgrading continuing with construction underway on enclosing one pool. Friendly staff, average staff response to complaints, staff offered tourist advice, staff helped us at the site, staff explained park layout and facilities. Reasonable value for money ($46.00 2A per night, powered, peak season). Amenity number was adequate to cope with the number of people, are close to most sites, were clean, condition is good. Good night lighting, sites will accommodate medium to large vans, annex slabs to some sites, shade to most sites, drive-through sites, hard to negotiate into site. Good laundry, good rec room, good camp kitchen, dump point, you can use your mobile wireless (carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 4). No permanents.
Likes: Secure entry/exit
Dislikes: Open to parklands and community centre adjacent at bottom end of park. Entry from main road could be better for larger rigs, rather than a right angle turn which requires one to hold up road traffic whilst turning in.

Manager's name is Alan Rowett. Very professionally run park in a great location (walking distance to Flinders Medical centre), but a lot of traffic noise. Newly built lagoon pool surrounded by up-market cabins is impressive, but park roadways need work and most sites have large bare-earth areas where grass should be. This park is a work-in-progress as more cabins are planned around the pool, but ongoing work should have little effect on caravanners. Friendly staff, staff explained park layout and facilities. Poor value for money ($39.00 2A per night). We paid $35.10 because of BIG4 member. Amenity number was adequate to cope with the number of people, are close to most sites, were clean, condition is very good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, soap provided, dry change area, paper towels/dryer provided, exhaust fans/good ventilation. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, annex slabs to most sites, shade to most sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good laundry, good rec room, camp kitchen, kiosk, dump point, secure entry, book swap available, wireless internet is available, you can use your mobile wireless (carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 3). Noisy, open & roomy park, plenty of shade, no permanents. Clean UC gas bbq (free), bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. Basic playground in average condition. Clean heated pool, tables and chairs provided, toddlers catered for. Suitable for a week or more, suitable for families, well maintained park, park is considered kid-safe.

We had 4 nights here in a cabin and it was great. Covered tennis courts, pool, kids play area, a beautiful creek running next to the park filled with wild ducks and birds. There was some inconvenience as they are building more cabins and 2 new pools on the entry road, but they should be ready by about Christmas 2010. The "center" areas is for vans, and the outside of the park is mostly cabins. We had a slight issue with a BBQ, but it was rectified by the owner the following day, along with an apology for not getting it done sooner. Very friendly staff, good staff response to complaints, staff offered tourist advice, staff explained park layout and facilities. Very good value for money ($145 2A 2C per night, cabin, off-peak season). Amenity number was adequate to cope with the number of people, were clean, condition is very good. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, concrete annex slabs to some sites, drive-through sites, hard to negotiate into site. Good laundry, good rec room, wireless internet is available, you can use your mobile wireless (carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 5). Peaceful, open & roomy park, plenty of shade. Clean gas bbq (free), congenial bbq area atmosphere. Excellent playground in good condition. Clean heated pool, tables and chairs provided. Suitable for a week or more, suitable for families, well maintained park.
Likes: Close to Adelaide, but still far enough away to be outside the main town. We were there on a long weekend and were surprised to find 2 couples bring their vans 8km from home to stay at the park. When "locals" do that, it says a lot about the park
Dislikes: The exit road runs between cabins, and depending where people parked, it was a bit tight to get out of with just a car, so a van would be worse. This should be rectified once the building of new cabins is complete and one section of road re-opened
Local Information: The parkland to the west, and what appears to be an Aboriginal cultural center to the S of the park are worth a wander through.

Lovely park, lots green lawns, well maintained with lovely BBQ area and camp kitchen. Very friendly staff, staff offered tourist advice. Price was as expected, good value for money ($27.00 2A, peak season). Amenity number was adequate to cope with the number of people, are close to most sites, were clean, condition is good, water pressure is bad, there was inadequate hot water. Good night lighting, shade to most sites, drive-through sites. Peaceful, plenty of shade, family/friendly atmosphere. Clean gas bbq (free), congenial bbq area atmosphere. Suitable for month or longer, well maintained park.
Likes: Lovely grassy sites, bathroom so clean and modern you would think you were at home!
Dislikes: No water pressure in showers - had to run around to get wet!!

Belair National Park Caravan Park, Belair
Click here for park details on My Park List
Upper Sturt Rd. Signposted from the freeway for access. Recommended that caravanners travel via Shepherds Hill Road, Blackwood then Main Road and Laffers Road as this is the only reasonably good caravan access road. The other three entry ways ie Upper Stuart Road, Old Belair Road and Belair Road via Windy Point are all very steep, fairly narrow winding roads and not really suitable for any vans other than small units. Ph: 08 8278 3540. Family Parks member. Pets allowed on lead.

This is a lovely peaceful park in a bush setting where the managers go out of their way to make sure your stay is enjoyable; the site we had been allocated originally was not suitable and they managed to arrange another better one for us. The park has older but spotless amenities. The park has a large air conditioned recreation room with book swap, big TV and comfortable chairs. There is a shadecloth table & seat area separating the room from a big kitchen with two sinks, two hotplates, two ovens, numerous appliances and a huge fridge/freezer. Some utensils provided. Very friendly staff. Very good value for money ($30 2A per night, powered). We paid $27 because of FPA discount. are close to most sites, were clean, condition is very good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, soap provided, dry change area, paper towels/dryer provided. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, no sites with annex slabs, shade to most sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good laundry, good rec room, good camp kitchen, kiosk, dump point, book swap available, you can use your mobile wireless (carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 5). Peaceful, open & roomy park, plenty of shade, a few permanents. Clean UC gas bbq (free), congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. Excellent playground in good condition. Suitable for a week or more, suitable for families, well maintained park.
Likes: Despite it being school holidays the park was safe to walk through without kids on scooters/bikes/boards etc whizzing around. There were lots of children in the park at this time but the playground area and pool kept them well occupied. There are extensive walking tracks in the Belair National Park next door which has heaps of BBQ shelters, playing areas etc throughout the maze of roads and would be a great meeting place for a huge family gathering.
Dislikes: This park is in the Adelaide Hills, therefore having to go down and up the steep windy mountain roads to get anywhere
Added Touches: Night wildlife spotlighting tours held some nights.
Local Information: There is a good train service from Glenalta or Blackwood where you can park your car; every 30mns most days $2.40 to the city. Seniors travel free on Adelaide public transport weekdays between 9am-3pm and all weekend. If going for a day drive to the rest of Adelaide Hills ie Mt. Lofty, Hahndorf etc in your car then Upper Sturt Road is a good shortcut to the motorway.
Roads: Refer my comments re directions to park.

Manager's name is Mary & Stuart Edwards. Unexpected that dogs allowed as park is in a NP. What a difference a change of management makes. This park is a bit old and the natural bush setting (although only 12km from Adelaide CBD) means it will never be pristine, but all facilities were operational and spotless. Staff were friendly, helpful and full of local information. Friendly staff, staff offered tourist advice, staff explained park layout and facilities. Reasonable value for money ($30 2A per night, powered). We paid $27 because of Family Parks membership. Amenity number was adequate to cope with the number of people, are close to most sites, were clean, condition is good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, separate bathroom, soap provided, paper towels/dryer provided, disabled facilities. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, no sites with annex slabs, shade to most sites, adequate taps close by. Good laundry, good rec room, good camp kitchen, kiosk, disabled facilities, dump point, book swap available, wireless internet is available, you can use your mobile wireless (carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 4). Peaceful, open & roomy park, plenty of shade, a few permanents. Clean UC gas bbq (free), bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. Basic playground in average condition. Clean pool, tables and chairs provided. Suitable for a week or more, suitable for families, well maintained park, park is considered kid-safe.

Manager's name is Geoff & Kim Greer. This park is set in a great position, with a bush setting, and country club at door. But unfortunately the good stops there. The office is attended at most 2hrs a day. The amenities were just on the clean side of filthy, 2 soap dispensers one empty and the other not working. In spite of a large number of caravans and campers coming and going on a daily basis the facilities were given a very rough clean over once a day. The managers were unfriendly and curt, gave the impression that they didn't want to be here. We wouldn't have stayed more than a night but had interstate family flying in and as we had a pet had no alternative. Poor value for money ($30 2A per night, powered, off-peak season). We paid $27 because of Family Park member. Inadequate number of amenities, are close to only some sites, were dirty, condition is poor, mostly level sites, poor night lighting, no sites with annex slabs. Basic laundry, basic rec room, you can use your mobile wireless (carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 3). Peaceful, too much shade, a few permanents. Good playground. Dirty pool, tables and chairs provided. Suitable for overnighter.

This is a lovely park, unfortunately I was there during the worst wind storm in July where winds were about 110 km/hr, you could hear the trees breaking, cracking and falling around you. One was only about 5m from my van. It is a lovely beautiful setting, but because of a storm was quite scary with all the trees around, wrong time I went. The managers were very helpful and friendly, helped you to your site, made sure you were okay. After the storm on their day off when they have someone else in the park doing reception they were up at 2 am making sure the park was okay, and at 4 am they went down to the entrance away from the park and started cutting down the trees, and was working tirelessly throughout the day to try to clear up the broken branches and get the park looking okay. Their dedication and helpfulness made a awful scary bad situation feel better. Very friendly staff, staff offered tourist advice, staff helped us at the site, staff explained park layout and facilities. Good value for money ($30 1A per night, powered). We paid $27 because of chain discount. Amenity number would not cope in peak times, are close to most sites, were clean, condition is good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, soap provided, paper towels/dryer provided. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate medium to large vans, no sites with annex slabs, shade to most sites, hard to negotiate into site, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good laundry, good rec room, camp kitchen, kiosk, you can use your mobile wireless (carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 4). Peaceful, open & roomy park, plenty of shade, a few permanents. UC electric bbq, congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. Suitable for a week or more, suitable for families, well maintained park.
Likes: The management were helpful, friendly and did a lot to make you feel comfortable. It was next to Belair National Park but due to weather didn't get to go there. The NP is about the only one that dogs are allowed in with leads.
Dislikes: Just the awful wind storm and so many trees, but that is nothing to do with the park. Freak of nature.
Parking: Plenty of parking
Local Information: Country club next door, NP and walks next door. Adelaide not too far away, The hills not too far away, Hahndorf is a lovely town, and great views from Mt Lofty.
Roads: Great roads, road a bit windy, but i went via S road and the long way around and avoided the windy road, but still able to do all with a caravan but slowly.

This is an older park but in a great location. New managers Pat and Graham are very enthusiastic and nothing was too much trouble. Making improvements as budgets allow. Older amenities but kept very clean. Next door to the NP with lots of walks. CP has BBQ areas, pool and lovely bush. Wonderful to see Belair National Park allows visitors to bring in dogs on a lead. (And yes, still lots of birdlife, kangaroos and koalas!) Opposite the entrance is a golf club that serves reasonable lunch and dinner. FPA, cost was $32 before discount for peak October long weekend. Good for a week or more as there is so much to do in district. Good pool, two BBQ areas. Some permanents that make sections of the park look a little tired, but saw no problems while we were there. Good for a week or more.

985 Port Wakefield Road, beside Caltex servo on northbound side, very well signposted. Ph: 08 8250 3747. All pets allowed.

A big park, though quite a few permanents. Well laid out, and room down the back for big rigs. Go in as directed at office, scout for the best way out, some lowish trees, and some bends easier than others. Very helpful management, we intended one night but found a tyre problem on the 5th wheeler when we set up, had to stay 2 extra days to get tyre, and this was no problem. From memory, $25 a night, good value. Big shady pool area, good facilities, more than one block so not too far. Good laundry and lots of lines, most protected a bit behind wall but get good sun and breeze. It's on the highway but not noisy as most sites behind a big earth bank, only 24k from central Adelaide. Loads of shops around too, Salisbury North, Paralowie, Parafield. Closest we've got to a big city with room for a big rig and pets.

Thought it would not be good but found it great especially in winter. Some sites are tight but most are okay. Manager's name is Rod. In the last few months the owners of the park have been replacing the grassed tourist site's with pebble and a 3 m wide concrete strip at the front of sites which at first I thought people wouldn't like but after speaking to a few most reckon it's a great idea no mud or dust. July was a very wet month and everyone that I spoke to loved the pebble as the rain drained away. One 5er nearly got bogged pulling out of a grass site. If you are planning on staying here it is a good move to book ahead as the park is full most nights. Manager's name is Rod. I am here on a long stay and have found the park to be very quite and friendly. There are permanents in the park but in a separate section. It is able to handle large rigs 5th wheelers and large buses without any problems at all, I have seen up to 35' 5er's and 40' buses in the tourist section. There is plenty of room to back large rigs onto the few sites that are not drive though. The park is well maintained 7 days a week with office hours 8 to 8 and staff on call 24 hours. There is no kiosk but there is a 24 hr servo right next door with a take away section. Friendly staff, good staff response to complaints, staff offered tourist advice, staff explained park layout and facilities. Price was as expected, good value for money ($144.00 2A per week powered). Amenity number was adequate to cope with the number of people, are close to all sites, were clean, condition is good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, separate bathroom, soap provided, dry change area, paper towels/dryer provided, exhaust fans/good ventilation. Manager's name is John & Charmaine Ferguson. Neat as a pin. All facilities recently built or refurbished. The biggest (and driest) shower cubicles we've seen in a park. All sites issued with hoses & sprinklers; consequently the park is very green. Ramp to excellent bay beach. Amenity number was adequate to cope with the number of people, are close to most sites, were clean, condition is very good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, paper towels/dryer provided, exhaust fans/good ventilation, disabled facilities. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, annex slabs to some sites, shade to some sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good laundry, good rec room, camp kitchen, disabled facilities, dump point, secure entry, wireless internet is available, you can use your mobile wireless (carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 5). Hidden away from main roads but easy to find once the signage is seen on Brighton Rd. Average park, well sited for calm conditions. Not so good during gale conditions that we struck. Very exposed on beachside. The park is old and needs some redesign work to cope with modern RVs. Amenities clean but barely adequate. Management friendly and helpful. Handy to Glenelg and public transport facilities. Suitable for any length of time, but from what we saw of other parks in Adelaide there are probably better options offering better value for money.

A clean tidy open park, with very little shade, but large open sites. Staff very friendly and helpful. All amenities and facilities in first class condition. Not really family friendly as there are more signs prohibiting what you can do than I have ever seen (e.g. No riding, no skateboards, no ball games, no this that and other!) Ideally located in some aspects as it is only 50 m from a superb swimming beach. However the road past the site leads directly to the beach and it seems every hoon in Adelaide drives down it at all hours of the day and night. Stay as far from the fence on right hand side as possible. Only marked down to 3.5 due to noise of screeching tyres, otherwise would be a 4. Good value for so close to Adelaide.
Likes: Condition of site overall. Location on beach virtually
Dislikes: Hoons on road next to site. Too many restrictive rules.
Parking: Large parking area available

When we arrived at the park we found it to be very nice and open and very easy to manoeuvre our motor home. The amenities were nice and clean and new. We appreciated how spacious it was and not many people in the park, considering it was school holidays. The managers were new apparently only been there 6 weeks or so. We found out after being told in a very unfriendly manner to "get off our bikes and not to ride in the park." There was some signs around but we just thought this was in certain areas not the whole park. I later went to enquire as to why no riding in such a lovely flat spacious open park and was told by the new manager that he could not change the rules for just one person. As I was merely enquiring why they would have such a limiting rule,(and trying to explain to a 3 year old also no riding) I found his tone very condescending, unfriendly and extremely unpleasant. I was merely wanting to know why this rule was in place as we had never come across it in our travels. The park certainly does not encourage families to come to the park and there is no fun atmosphere as kids are not allowed to ride bikes, scooters, skate boards, roller blades play any ball games. Friendly staff, bad staff response to complaints. Price was as expected, reasonable value for money ($22 2A 1C per night). Amenities are close to only some sites, were clean, condition is good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, mostly level sites, good night lighting, large sites, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good laundry, basic rec room, good camp kitchen, dump point. Quiet, open & roomy park, not enough shade. Clean UC gas bbq (free), bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. Basic playground in average condition. No pool. Suitable for a week or more, well maintained park.
Likes: The park is very close to a superb beach.
Dislikes: Not encouraging families to visit the park as there is NO games or riding of any sort of bikes/scooters/skateboards/rollerblades in the park.

Added Touches: River walks and cycle tracks are excellent
Local Information: Near Adelaide city but far enough away to seem rural.

Manager's name is Ian & Marie. This park is near the Adelaide CBD(9ks) and very nice quite area except for the planes early in the morning, but I reckon all parks in the Adelaide area would have the same problem. Amenity number was adequate to cope with the number of people, are close to all sites, were clean, condition is good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, soap provided, dry change area, paper towels/dryer provided, exhaust fans/good ventilation. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate medium to large vans, no sites with concrete annex slabs, shade to most sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good laundry, basic rec room, good camp kitchen, kiosk, dump point, wireless internet is available, you can use your mobile wireless (carrier used was Vodaphone, reception quality was 5). No pool. Suitable for a week or more, suitable for families, well maintained park, park is considered kid-safe.
Likes: This is a great city park, very busy and well maintained close to the city of Adelaide. We have stayed here many times and for its size and the fact it is often very busy we will stay again.
Dislikes: The sites are all gravel but you cannot have grass for a park that is full most of the time; it would not survive. The office staff can be a little gruff and short, again they are just busy so much of the time, you cannot expect them to take time for a social chat when there is a line of customers.

Stayed in a cabin for 8 nights, 4 before Easter and 4 over Easter, while our son had an operation in Adelaide. The cabin was clean, although starting to show a bit of age. Bed was rather hard but otherwise the cabin was comfortable and had all the requirements for a week's stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. Even to the point of offering a refund if our son was released from hospital earlier than expected (which did not happen). Park was clean and well looked after. It is not a very big park (about 80 sites). White stones on van sites, plenty of shade, sites seemed roomy enough, grassed area for tents and campers. Bus stop close by, not far to city. Friendly staff, staff offered tourist advice. Price was as expected, reasonable value for money. Amenity number was adequate to cope with the number of people, are close to most sites, were clean, condition is reasonable, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, average sized sites, concrete annex slabs to some sites, shade to most sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good laundry, basic rec room, kiosk, van parking. Quiet, open & roomy park, plenty of shade, family/friendly atmosphere, a few permanents. Clean bbq. Good playground in good condition. No pool. Suitable for a week or more, suitable for families, well maintained park, park is considered kid-safe.
Likes: Friendly and helpful staff...nice walking track along Torrens river
Dislikes: Hard mattress on bed in cabin...under the flight path of aircraft coming in to Adelaide airport from 6am to 10pm
Local Information: Close to city

Roads: Some of the roads around Adelaide have narrow near side lanes, forcing drivers to move out to off side lane if vehicles are parked on the roadside. Seems to be accepted practice in Adelaide.

Absolutely enormous park with every facility you could poke a stick at - reflected in the price at $44 for 2A before discount. However, if you are situated beyond 12th Ave on the map, there's really not much shade, the amenities get further away and the pool is too far away to walk in the blazing Adelaide summer. Our score would have been higher if we'd been down the front end of the park, we suspect. Amenity block was clean but old and tired (they were all the same) and the hot water pressure quite dodgy, but there were signs saying that SA power/water were investigating. Our laundry had two washers out of order, one that was too grotty to use, and one that spilled water all over the floor when we opened the door. Didn't do laundry. On a positive note the multiple camp kitchens are fabulous, including individual fridge hire if you wanted it. Kids would be in heaven, heaps of playground stuff. Large games room had no aircon or fans and so was deserted due to the hot weather. Check in was easy, good staff and good parking entry system, the regular in/out gate is separate to the check in gate. Location next to the beach is great, with a boardwalk down to the shore. If we stayed again we would ensure we got a better site location.

Stayed 15 nights, powered site $144.20 per week. Reception very helpful and office serves as small kiosk. This was the first park since we began our trip (16 April) where we were helped to our site by a very competent Russell. All other parks just gave us a map and we had to find the spot ourselves. Our site, No. 7, was a roomy, long slab site near the entry to the park. We had only one neighbour as the other side was a grassed area. Some sites were very tight. Entry is via boomgate and access to the amenities is via a key. This is a fairly small tourist park (permanents are housed in a separate area) and the amenities block is central, close to all sites, and was spotless. Laundry was also very clean with good machines and dryers. This park is extremely well maintained. Motel rooms available. Dump is in the disabled toilet. No pool or playground which meant very few ankle biters (suited us). Sullage to sites provided but we were asked to put our grey water under the trees (very smart). We had previously been told by travellers to book early as this park is always busy. It was full while we were there. Clean undercover bbq/camp kitchen provided. Park is on the Torrens River and an excellent walking path can be accessed through a gate at the back. One caravanner decided to play his music extremely loudly one night (apparently his wife was away) but after a complaint, this was quickly quietened by Russell. We were very happy in this park, would return and would recommend it for any length of time.

Manager's name is Russel and Robyn (3 years). Some sites are tight to back into with a large tug, others are drive though. Can also cater for a limited number of large vans, 5th wheeler's and buses. Russell is very good at directing vans onto sites and is also very capable backer himself. Most sites also have concrete annex slabs. I am here on a long stay basis due to work. There is a permanent section separate from the tourists. I stayed a couple of nights just before Christmas as well as now and found the park to be very friendly, there wasn't a lot of grass at Christmas time but because of the drought that is to be expected, there has been good rain in the last month and Russell has been fertilizing the grass areas so there is plenty of grass which is kept short and tidy. The whole of the park is kept neat and tidy. Friendly staff, good staff response to complaints, staff offered tourist advice, van parking assistance provided by staff, staff helped us at the site, staff explained park layout and facilities. Price was as expected, good value for money ($138.00 1A per week powered). Amenity number was adequate to cope with the number of people, are close to all sites, were clean, condition is very good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, dry change area, paper towels/dryer provided, exhaust fans/good ventilation, disabled facilities. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, large sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good laundry, no rec room, kiosk, disabled facilities, secure entry. Peaceful, open & roomy park, plenty of shade, family/friendly atmosphere. Clean UC electric bbq (pay), congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. No pool. Suitable for month or longer, well maintained park.

Quiet, claustrophobic park, not enough shade, too many permanents. No bbqs, no playground, no pool. Suitable for few days.
Likes: One of the few parks in Adelaide that permit dogs.

Manager was friendly when we spoke to him but the website offered grassy sites but none to be seen for us, sites were dusty and dirty and loads of junk, rubbish lying around the park. When first enquired about staying a couple nights there were no sites apparently available, but when we said we may be staying a few weeks they seem to find site. You were packed in like sardines. Hard to manoeuvre big vehicles. Unsafe drains with inadequate covers for small children very dangerous. To many permanents living in below standard accommodation. There was no pool. Amenities were clean but being in a heat wave there was no proper ventilation like fans and they were overwhelmingly stuffy. Recommend only if you needed to stay one night. Friendly management. Poor value for money. Average amenities, adequate number to cater for tourists, close to sites, were clean, were in good condition, water pressure was okay, there was adequate hot water. Very poor sites, adequate number of tourist sites, sites were level, the site size was okay, drive-through sites were available, hard to negotiate in to/out of site, poor water quality. Laundry. Very poor atmosphere to park, too many permanents for this park. Basic playground.
