This rest area is in Camps 6. Very large area with level parking sites; multiple dirt tracks in between the native vegetation. No toilets,
one picnic shelter with table and may have water at it (I did not walk near it). Shallow waterhole with lots of birdlife down a steep bank.
There are numerous areas where friends could park together. The area is off the highway, towards the rear of the rest area would be about 200m
or so S of highway. Would definitely use it again. No mobile reception. Mobile wireless not available. Suitable for overnighter.

Long drop toilets, non-potable water, tables, suitable for big rigs. A large
tarred area and you can back your rig onto the dry grassed area. Lots of space but by 3.00pm it started filling up.
Thirty eight caravans/vans by nightfall when we were there. Recommended for overnight.
Date 07/2009. Good overnight rest stop.

This is an oasis in the middle of nowhere, caravan park sites are drive through and well shaded, amenities are close-by and a little dated but clean and well stocked.
There is a bar/restaurant and fuel available we paid $1.95/ltr for diesel. The power for the homestead and caravan park is supplied by a large generator which runs 24
hours per day - it's a bit noisy at night. There is a pool that is clean and well fenced. Definitely suitable for an overnight stay.
Friendly staff.
Amenity number was adequate to cope with the number of people, are close to most sites, were clean, condition is reasonable, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water.
Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by.
Clean pool.
Likes: Shady drive-thru sites.
Dislikes: Generator noise at night, but that can't be helped.

Amenity number was adequate to cope with the number of people, are close to most sites, were clean, condition is very good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water,
paper towels/dryer provided, exhaust fans/good ventilation.
Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, no sites with annex slabs, shade to some sites,
drive-through sites, adequate taps close by.
Basic laundry, no wireless internet available, mobile wireless not available.
Peaceful, open & roomy park, plenty of shade, a few permanents.
Suitable for few days.
Likes: It is a long way from Three Ways to Camooweal so this is a welcome stop over for a night or maybe two.
Dislikes: The costs of most things are high but this is explained by the cost of freight and the high cost of running the diesel generators to keep the place running. Didn't like it but accepted it
Local Information: The road house is good

A welcome oasis in the middle of nowhere, pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. Lovely place to stay. They don't take bookings so make sure you get there early
afternoon to secure a spot. Powered and unpowered sites available & cabins also. 50 drive thru sites available. Will definitely go back next time we come through.
Unfriendly girl at check in, perhaps because she was very busy with roadhouse. A smile would have been nice, even after dropping back key early next morning, she was still unfriendly.
Reasonable value for money ($26 2A).
Inadequate number of amenities, are close to only some sites, were clean, condition is good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water.
Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, poor night lighting, no sites with annex slabs, shade to most sites, drive-through sites.

Likes: Lovely outback oasis, very shady, lots of trees, level sites, drive thru sites (don't have to unhitch overnight), nice clean amenities block ($20 deposit for key), great internet service & phone for next G
Dislikes: No grass (their web page shows lots of grass), no concrete slabs, no lighting at night makes toilet/shower block hard to find, sites are just dirt so very dusty, water tasted terrible, no TV reception.

This park has much improved. The generator now operates 24/7 and is much quieter than before. Sites have been redesigned and with the new
plantings are much more attractive. Much, much better than it used to be.
Friendly staff, staff explained park layout and facilities.
Good value for money ($24 2A, powered, off-peak season).
Amenity number would not cope in peak times, are close to most sites, cleanliness was average, condition is reasonable, water pressure is good,
hot water was usually adequate but not when busy, soap provided, paper towels/dryer provided.
Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, poor night lighting, sites will accommodate medium to large vans, very few annex slabs,
shade to some sites, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by.
Basic laundry, no rec room, kiosk, dump point, you can use your mobile wireless (carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 5).
Peaceful, open & roomy park, plenty of shade, no permanents.
No playground.
Clean pool is shaded.
Suitable for few days, suitable for families.
Likes: Very easy to negotiate most sites.
Dislikes: Red bulldust turned to mud in the rain. Sites would benefit from more crushed gravel to provide better drainage.
Parking: Can buy fuel and pay for site at the same time.
Local Information: Pub food is cheaper than at other outback pubs. Fuel is very expensive but a sign says the extra fuel price subsides the cost of running the generator.
Roads: After recent flooding roads can be potholed.

We arrived just after noon and had the pick of the sites, by 3pm the park was very full. We chose to go near the older amenities at the
front that were not unisex. Two showers, two toilets in each for males and females that were spotless. Laundry next door was also very clean.
All sites are drive-thru, dirt, well shaded. $10 deposit for amenities key.
Friendly staff.

Water and electricity available. This park as reported in previous reports has unisex combo shower and toilet. Has shower curtains
which certainly have seen better days. There is a block of toilets only, but these were closed due to lack of water. The sites were even.
The amenities were not adequate to cope with the amount of vans, campers that were in the park. The locks on the doors that show the
engaged signs are faulty. Managed to lock the engaged lock, but horror, couldn't unlock it. Eventually after great panic managed to
get it to 'catch' and was able to leave the room. This was Unisex room number 5, so if you are heading that way keep it in mind. We
didn't have a meal at the roadhouse/homestead as there was inconsistencies in the price and availability of dishes on the boards and
what we were being told by the young lady, who quite definitely informed me, 'not to bother with what was on the board, they were wrong.'
Okay for an overnighter, (if you don't lock yourself in the Unisex bathroom.) $25.40 2A per night.

We tossed up whether to 'risk' a night here after reading other reports, or possibly go on to a roadside stop, but it was 3pm and
the next stop was 1.5 hrs away so could be full. The park was not as bad as I expected, though certainly has some faults. We were
far enough off the highway not to be bothered by traffic, but the generator kicked up a steady din. I cannot comment on all of the
amenities, but amenities block B was not too bad. There were about 3 unisex toilets on one side and around 6 unisex combination toilet/shower
units on the other side. Unisex means first-in-first-served, and my wife was a little concerned about privacy after opening the door (key required)
to find a gent just about to leave - it seems the vacant/engaged sign and lock did not work, so I suggest you check. The toilet/shower combo units
appear to be the best units as they are roomy (about 2.2 m square) with a toilet, hand basin and fibreglass shower cubicle with curtain so
the floor remains fairly dry. They do not have adequate ventilation (flyscreen 'window' about 300mm x 80mm, and no air entry to the room) so
become very steamy after a shower - and this was July. My wife had her shower first and reported some pressure and temperature variation, but
my shower saw slow variations in pressure and temperature from good of both to almost no flow at all. Cost was $24 for 2 adults, powered site,
off-peak season, + $10 refundable deposit for the one amenities key. A 'voucher' was also provided to receive a roast beef dinner for $12 per
person - good meal. TV is from Mt Isa, so forget it if you don't have a really good system. Diesel was $1.76/L compared to Tennant Creek $1.38/L,
and I expect Camooweal to be cheaper, so maybe a dash of fuel here rather than a top-up. Definitely an overnight stop only, unless you have
broken down or have other reasons to stay, but I did not think it was as bad as some reports painted.

Cape Crawford is a long way from anything, Heart Break Hotel is all there is at Cape Crawford, No town, just the roadhouse/pub/caravan park - not unlike Barkly Homestead in that
respect, but not as pleasant. The actual grounds of the caravan park are very nice, big shady trees, lots of grass. The main problem with the place is the amenities, the main
ones are located at the back of the pub and are very basic and pretty grotty, we used the shower in the van, they don't look like they've been cleaned for a long time - very run
down. The pool was a shade of green with things floating in it - we stayed out of it. A number of the power outlets were out of order and looked like they had been for some time.
It's suitable for a quick overnight stop - we did leave the van there in the morning and when for a drive to the Caranbirini Conservation Reserve which was well worth the drive.
We paid $1.99/ltr for diesel.
Reasonable value for money ($32 2A 2C per night).
Inadequate number of amenities, were dirty, condition is poor, shade to most sites, drive-through sites.
Poor laundry, late checkout allowed, no wireless internet available, mobile wireless not available.
Dirty pool.
Suitable for overnighter.
Likes: The big shady, grassed sites were very pleasant.
Dislikes: The amenities were very unpleasant and the pool was poorly
maintained.
Local Information: You can pay for helicopter flights to the Lost City or instead drive 64km towards Borroloola to the Caranbirini Conservation Reserve which has a
smaller version - still very spectacular and well worth the drive. The short walk to the waterhole is also lovely with lots of birdlife and beautiful waterlilies.
Roads: The road from Barkly Homestead to Cape Crawford is single lane bitumen - it is in pretty good condition. There was a minimal amount of traffic and only one
road train on our journey - you are able to get off the road completely without any trouble at all. Keep an eye out for cattle. The road from Cape Crawford to the
Hi-Way Inn is also single lane bitumen but is not well maintained at all, there are areas of flood damage, potholes and undulating road surfaces, there are also a lot
of crests with poor visibility. You need to take it pretty slowly on this road.

Camping on grassy area behind hotel. Some shady trees. Not level. Not set sites so caravans parked higgeldy piggeldy making access to power outlets
difficult, and in fact finding space to park difficult. Poles with four outlets; long cords needed if not parked next to outlet. Our outlet did not work,
and staff unable to help, although offered to refund us difference from unpowered site (unpowered fee $13). There seemed to be inadequate power outlets for
campers, but staff said park was far from full capacity. Taps by power outlets. Average amenities some distance away behind hotel; inadequate for number of
campers. Laundry barely adequate for numbers (had to wait for machine). Noise from trucks on road, and noisy power generator close to caravans and cabins/dongas.
Average staff friendliness, average staff response to complaints.

Grassy sites, choose as you come, drive-through. Lots of shade, but no lighting. Pool was disgusting, couldn't see bottom.
Most ladies toilets were either "out of order" or "closed for renovation", hence there was only one building with a shower and
toilet inside, but shower had no door on it. Very inadequate to have just one shower/toilet for ladies, which was also used by
customers buying fuel/liquor/meals. When we arrived the ladies was being cleaned, mens next door had just been serviced. I was
advised to go to mens, but there was no loo paper and the facilities were very poor, for having just been "cleaned". Staff made
me feel it was a bother to cater to my needs. I was handed some loo paper, but could not open dispenser to leave in there, so gave
to cleaner and explained where it needed to go, but she didn't speak English, hence when my husband went, once again there was no
loo paper! Only two meals offered in "restaurant" - steak (type unknown) or calamari - both $20ish. The cook couldn't make a
hamburger as he had no mince or tomatoes - but he stated he could open up a can of tomatoes if we wanted ! This park has a
lovely setting, with green grass and looks like an oasis, but it badly needs maintenance, improved facilities and some good old
fashioned customer service.

A good pub for a night just to see the show and see some of the local attractions, "the pub". Book in at the pub staffed mainly by backpackers, friendliness is pretty good. It is $24 a
night for power, water is available but you can't hook up to a tap. Amenities are unisex with individual ensuite type rooms. Showers are great. Someone directs you into a spot, it is a
large dusty park (this is the outback) close to eleven sites some with shade. Not a great deal but one of those stops you have to do because everyone else does. For what it offers no complaints.

This is the second time we have been here and the facilities have not changed. This park is very basic, but is there for people to partake in the
offerings and entertainment of this quirky pub. We overlook the facilities because of why we came. You can pay for powered site, but cannot connect
to water although you are able to fill up tanks, although water is not that nice for drinking. You are required to stay hooked up, but as it is only
one night usually this is not a problem. Would stay again next time we come this way.

Dusty park next to pub. Pay at pub before entering, then you are shown to your site. One water tap between 4 sites, so you can fill your tank
but not stay attached to the tap. We didn't use this water so can't comment on its quality. 7 portable ensuite type bathrooms at pub end of park
quickly become filthy, be prepared to wait at peak times. If you are at the end of the park away from the pub it is a long way to the bathrooms and
there are no park lights. The only reason to come here is for the pub - unexpectedly good meal for dinner and reasonable 'outback style' entertainment
show ('free' with the hat proffered at the end). The park filled up by mid-afternoon, I imagine in a few weeks it will fill even earlier. Cost is $12 per
person (powered), which isn't particularly cheap for what you get, and would be downright expensive if you are more than 2 people.
Suitable for overnighter.
Local Information: They have a brochure which supposedly shows a walk around some 'historic sites', but it isn't signposted and the sites are pretty
dull if you do find them.

We stayed here only because we were told it was a unique experience. We wanted an unpowered site ($5 per peron, peak) and they tried to send us to the overflow paddock area
over the road even though the park section was almost empty. Water was available to sites only to top up van water tanks. Dusty. At $5 a head unpowered ($10 per person powered)
it was value for money. Level sites, some shade. The Chook Man was not there instead the show was presented by Chilli, a country and western singer, poet and comedian. Not a bad
show for free, spoiled by a group of families who talked all through it and not spoken to by management. We probably would not stay there again.

The comments and ratings in this report refer to the caravan park only. The Daly Waters Pub is a 'must see' once only attraction if you are passing this
way. However expect to see an overdecorated, garish, theme park style attraction. So saying that the food is terrific and we were told the entertainments in
the tourist season are great. This would be a really bustling place for young adults in the tourist season but nothing was happening in the off-season. The
caravan park itself is amongst the worst we have experienced in the many years of travel in Australia. We arrived and paid for a site at the bar then we drove
around to a flooded caravan park (yes we know we were there in 'The Wet') but the sites have no drainage of any kind and it was a quagmire. We hooked up to
power and water but when we turned on the tap there was no water forthcoming. After testing other taps within hose reach without success we complained at the
bar. We were given a 'don't care and what do you expect me to do about it' shrug of the shoulders from the staff and we were informed that the town's water
supply cannot cope with caravans so the taps have been disconnected. This explanation is patently rubbish! It was fortunate for us that our van's water tanks
were full. The next morning after the flooding had receded a bit some taps on the other side of the park were tried and sure enough water came out from
them with reasonable pressure. The night before it was too late to move and besides we already were in the only relatively dry spot in the 'park'. The pub
staff were not helpful at all. They did not explain anything about the park nor layout nor, more importantly, about the lack of water. We think this would
be an entertaining place in the tourist season with a great bar atmosphere and the 'Chook Man' across the road but to call an almost bare paddock largely
devoid of facilities beside the pub a caravan park is stretching the truth. The 'overflow' site across the road is really a couple of vacant house blocks
with no facilities at all.
Average staff friendliness, bad staff response to complaints.
Poor value for money ($20 2A, powered, off-peak season).
Inadequate number of amenities, are close to only some sites, were dirty, condition is poor, water pressure is good, hot water was usually adequate but not
when busy, soap provided.
Inadequate number of tourist sites, some unlevel sites, poor night lighting, sites will accommodate medium to large vans, no sites with annex slabs, very few
sites are shaded, drive-through sites.
Poor laundry, no rec room, you can use your mobile wireless (carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 2).
Quiet, open & roomy park, not enough shade, no permanents.
No bbqs, no playground.
Clean pool, tables and chairs provided.
Suitable for overnighter.
Likes: Easy to park the van. Very quiet at night in the off season. There is a clean pool in the pub grounds.
Dislikes: Water is problematic (see general comments). The amenities blocks are third world and look like they have not been maintained in years. The amenities
blocks are very child unfriendly - concrete steps, high taps etc. The park is a muddy quagmire when it is wet and I expect it would be a dust bowl when it is dry.
The 'overflow' sites have no appeal at all and appear to be on lower ground than the main park. The staff don't care about the caravan park at all. However it may
well be different in the tourist season but somehow I don't think so.
Parking: You need to book and pay for a site at the pub. Parking while doing so would be a challenge as room for cars and vans outside of the pub is
practically non-existent. I could see some problems occurring if people were to park their van on a site before paying while others would pay before parking.
Added Touches: The Daly Waters Pub is a great attraction and is a 'must see'. The Barra and Beef BBQ, we are told is a 'must do'. We had a terrific Barra
and Beef evening meal from the kitchen during our stay. The pub often has live music and the Chook Man is across the road during the tourist season.
Local Information: Besides the pub there is not much else here.
Roads: Stay on the bitumen in the rain. The road can be narrow with soft shoulders. The route to the Pub is not well signed.

Wood bbqs but you must bring in your own wood. Ranger came in the evening, cleaned the toilets and emptied rubbish bins.
He warned us not to leave anything out in the night because of roaming dingoes. Also to keep our little dog in the
van overnight. Excellent quiet overnight stop in pitch dark but the stars are just incredible. The Marbles are
beautiful at sunset and again at dawn. Not to be missed.

First impressions were not good but this changed. This park is expensive at $27 for powered site 2A ,but management is proud of the
clean toilet block accessed by key. Dry and dusty but large drive through sites. No slabs. Pool exists but not working at time we were there.
There were only three other vans unlike the crowded free camps and roadhouses along this stretch of the highway. So, if you want to avoid the
crowds in peak season, this is a safe and clean option with excellent water pressure and lots of hot water. Excellent wireless (strength 5),
mobile phone and TV reception. The locals obviously are proud of their settlement because the road is newly planted with bougainvillea and there
is a nature walk and green park. Suitable for overnight.

Worst caravan park we have ever had the misfortune to stay in. Toilets not cleaned for a long time, some toilet bowls overflowing. We told the caretaker
that the urinal overflows and were blocked, and in response he shrugged his shoulders, said nothing. When leaving advised him the shower block need cleaning,
still no answer. Give this park a miss; there is a well patronaged roadside stop about 3kms N of the town.

There was nothing we liked, would have driven on if we knew there was a good roadside stop about 3 km out of town
Dislikes: It looked like a bomb had hit the park. There was a pool but the water was black and it was only half full, there were dead bat carcasses still
entangled in the barb wire fence around the pool, all sites are bare dirt. We stopped after reading write up in tourist brochure, but arrived too late to continue on.
Security gates are not used anymore. No fuel available at service station any more.

Stayed 1 night, $8.00 per person per night. Excellent value. Camp area on the Stuart Hwy, 74km N of Three
Ways or 60 km S of Renner Springs. Friendly reception which is situated in the old historical homestead. We
were told where to park and there was plenty of space left between vans. This is non-working cattle station which
is connected to two other large stations, part of the Kidman Group. The camp area is green with lovely grass
(I had to touch it after so long on dust and dirt). There were 6 showers and 4 toilets in the ladies section
(I presume the same for men) and they were very clean. Everyone said the water pressure in the showers was great.
Two washing machines at $2.00 per wash (cheapest in the entire trip). There is no power to sites but there is water
(you are allowed to wash the van). You are also encouraged to fill your tanks as it is soft spring water and they
have plenty. The ambience of the campsite is lovely and welcoming. It is near the road but no problem. There is
an evening slide show and talk about the history of the station. A great overnight stop. Some people had stayed
for three days just to relax. It was full the night we stayed and we would stay here again.

Nothing but a stopover for a night. It fills up quick of an afternoon so don't be late. $30 a night is not value for money. Amenities are only fair and are shared with the road house.
Once again staffed by backpackers but the service was friendly. The pool was fairly clean and a very welcome spot on a hot afternoon. There isn't a lot to see here except for a short walk.

One of the nicer roadhouse type parks we have stayed at. Sites are reasonably grassy, not allocated so it's first in, best dressed. Some sites are a
reasonable distance from the power or tap, you could need extension cord or hose. Sites are well away from the highway so we weren't disturbed by noise,
although given the location most people are up and about very early to get on the road so don't expect a sleep-in. We didn't try the bar or restaurant in

You pay your money in the roadhouse and then you are on your own. Just inside the gate there are about a dozen, clearly
defined, powered sites (The first arrivals grab those!) and then there are some grassy areas with just a few power
outlets and taps. Extension cords and hoses are needed if you're not first there and can't get close. Beyond these
grassy areas it is dust and gravel. Moral: If you want a reasonable site, get there early. There is a nice pool with spa
and the park is far enough from the highway to minimise traffic noise. Amenities are not bad, showers spacious with
good flow of water, not enough toilet cubicles in the mens. For a roadhouse, a pretty good place to stay.
Suitable for a night or longer.

Stayed 1 night. A free camping site located 66 km west of Avon Downs or 32 km east of Wunara Store on the Barkley Hwy (between
Barkly Roadhouse and Camooweal). Basic off-road overnight stop with wood fireplace. There were 2 vans when we pulled
up and by nightfall there were 7 vans and 1 tent. A very quiet nights rest. Suitable for large rigs. Suitable for overnight stay.
Report submitted by Leszek and Jackie, Malua Bay NSW (75).
Not a great deal to say about this park - very basic indeed. Gravel sites - lucky, as it absolutely poured the evening we visited, and flooded, then drained
away very quickly. A lot of the park has been let go - the large convention centre (maybe it is utilised just the once a year for the UFO Conference in March ),
the lake, the train - so it looks rather shabby. Staff in shop friendly though English is obviously a second language. Meal in restaurant in evening was very nice -
Chinese/Australian fare offered. Lots of UFO Memorabilia and cuttings - an interesting place for an overnight stop on the "Track".

UFO centre of Australia. Grassy drive thru sites. Camp kitchen, pool, kiosk, Chinese/Australian meals at restaurant. Around the park there are big
statues of Hulk, Elvis, and UFO pictures on all the buildings. Inside they have UFO magazine and newspaper articles on the walls. Sell alien T-shirts
and paraphernalia. 6-9pm there were a group of aborigines drinking, swearing and arguing across the road from the service station attached to the park.
They were standing around a fire in a 44 gallon drum. They were very loud and scary, hooning a little in their cars. They finally left at 9pm. The
manager turned off the spotlight to the camp kitchen at 7:50pm leaving the people in it stranded without light. Very dark park. Amenities for
ladies were ok but men's toilets didn't flush very well. There is a 300 seat auditorium out the back for conferences. No water in the lake and the
train wasn't running.
$30 2A per night with chain discount, powered, peak season.

Manager's name is Arc Vanderzalm.
This park is ok for an overnight stop, however events happened that would prevent us staying again. Power went off at 10pm and went on again at 7am the
next morning. We were told it was a circuit breaker and they had not been informed which was surprising because of so many people in the park. Also
around midnight all vans were visited by an aborigine knocking at the door and making repeated requests for matches. Eventually the park manager attended
and removed the person and one would think at this time seeing the park in complete darkness would have alerted him to the power problem. No phone or
Internet services to advise management.
Friendly staff.
Reasonable value for money ($33 2A per night, powered, peak season). We paid $30 because of BIG4 discount.
Amenity number was adequate to cope with the number of people, are close to most sites, cleanliness was average, condition is reasonable, water pressure is good,
there was adequate hot water.
Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, no sites with annex slabs,
shade to some sites, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by.
Kiosk, wireless internet is available, mobile wireless not available.
Peaceful, open & roomy park, plenty of shade, no permanents.
Pool is shaded.
Suitable for overnighter.
Likes: Easy access to sites, theme of park.
Dislikes: Power interruption and security.
Parking: Plenty of room

This is the worst BIG4 we've ever stayed in. Not sure how it was accredited for BIG4 inclusion. Park reception is in the roadhouse. Staff were friendly enough, but
just two young girls. Park was gravel. UFO memorabilia etc all around park, but this did nothing to improve the atmosphere. The amenities were very old, the disabled
shower/toilet was disgusting, it was like a container, the door was locked with a padlock, & very heavy to slide open, and I'm sure anyone in a wheelchair would have had
difficulty getting up the ramp and inside the door. The area was dark & dirty, & the toilet looked like it hadn't been flushed for a year. It was putrid. My husband is
partially disabled, but wouldn't even consider using this area, he struggled in the main shower block rather than use this one. The restaurant was closed. The lake had
about 30cm water in it & I would definitely not fish in it, & the train was not working. Had trouble connecting to the mains water, & the manager came to help & said even
he wouldn't drink the water, it had a very strong metallic/sulphur smell. Fortunately we had water in our tank so used that. Gate was supposed to be locked at 8:30pm but
stayed open all night. Locals came in their cars at dusk and stayed around yahooing & doing burnouts in their cars. Very loud & very confronting. I would definitely not
recommend this park to anyone, and if passing through this way again, would keep going rather than stay here again. I'm sure BIG4 management would be interested to know of
the condition of this park.
Average staff friendliness, average staff response to complaints

Well what a funny little park, quite unexpected having seen others parks of similar size towns close by. A little gem. All there is here is the
roadhouse, cafe and caravan park on the one site. Gates to park are locked at 8.30pm and reopens at 6.30am or earlier if required. Drive through
sites are on gravel, but this proved good at the time as it had been raining and drained away well, so no mud in the van.
Very friendly staff, staff offered tourist advice, staff explained park layout and facilities.

Likes: This little gem was very unusual in that the Wycliffe Well boast the most UFO sightings in Australia and seems to be a common occurrence.
It has memorabilia all over the walls all to do with UFO's and aliens. The park has murals with this theme throughout the park. Good basic meals
available all day including and Chinese dinner menu done by a Chinese chef.
Dislikes: The drive through sites did not have enough room for awning if another van pulls in next to you.
Parking: Park before you turn in to book, then need to take a wide berth to enter the gate into the park, seems to be very narrow.
Local Information: The only highlight is the Alien and UFO sightings that the park is based on. There is nothing else we could see.

Adjacent to the service station which is also the park reception office. A reasonable park for an overnight stay.
The amenities are rather basic but this is outback country. Power and water to level primarily drive thru gravel sites with larger areas for really
big rigs and additional grassed areas for campers and small units. Fuel is more expensive as you would expect in a remote location. Price was $23.40
after discount for a powered site. Meals available in the roadhouse. Friendly staff.
