Spring is here and we are still awaiting the big rains needed to make it a reasonable season.However we do have a great deal to look forward to. If you are interested in painting outdoors put names on list at Workshop with preferred day and suggestions for sites.

Entries close September 18.Entry forms at the Workshop, please support this event.

Lakes Visit

We have invited Lakes Entrance members for lunch at 12 noon on their bi-annual visit so please bring a platter to share and two paintings for the “Crit” session afterwards

 Bairnsdale Show

 

 

This tutorial covers all mediums and as usual we will be painting outside on the Friday Oct.16th weather   permitting and back at the Workshop on Saturday 17th, both days 10am-3pm. Please put your names on the list at the Workshop or ring Betty on 51522325.Costs are $20 per day or $30 for the two days. Non members $25 and $40.Bring lunches to share and two paintings for “Crit” on Saturday

Help is needed to set up on Thursday Nov. 5th.Entries to Show Office and deliver paintings to Show Grounds by 10am.Entry forms at Workshop.

Rotunda Exhibition

This is an exhibition that is open to all Artists from other groups so if you know of any one that may be interested we will send them an entry form. Forms will also be sent out to Members closer to the date. The Raffle this year will be for a painting by Margaret Lomas and help is needed to sell tickets in the street. Please ring Jill on 51568576 to book your day. We do need the money raised here to cover our increasing costs, so please try to help not only here but also to spend some time on the exhibition day.

Xmas Party

Partners are welcome .Bring a bowl of salad ,sweets or nibbles to share. The Society will provide meats, light wine and light beer. Anything else is BYO. Please bring a suitable wrapped present to the value of $8.

January 2nd Show

Activities in the Gardens will be on again to cater for tourists. Names on the list at Workshop, note there is a limit of 5 paintings per exhibiter .We would like people actually painting on the day too so think about doing a demo.
