The Casual Creative Work of Young Vietnamese Women!
The Voicebox
is a 3CR radio program for and run by young Vietnamese women and funded
by The Buoyancy Foundation of Victoria as part of the Commonwealth
National Illicit Drugs Strategy.
The core concept of
the program is “young Vietnamese women as leaders in their own life and
their communities”. You can hear young women leading music and
discussions Tuesday 6.30pm on 855am.
The Voicebox
has opened up several radio hosting and technical positions which are to
be filled in the upcoming months.
The team would like
to extend an invitation to all young Vietnamese women in the community
to come participate. No experience is required as training is provided
on the field.
To apply for a
training position;
Young Vietnamese
women interested in hosting/technical work can submit a piece of work
for radio in any format - written, recorded or sung on topics that are
creative, technical or reflective. You may choose to begin with “The
work I love is….?”
Successful
submissions will be paid $50 and the creative work may be broadcast.
Young woman may be contacted for orientation and training for the radio
show. If you are not interested in radio work, let us know and submit
your work over anyway – we want to hear from you!
Please include your
name, address, age and contact details and your written consent for
material to become the property of The Voicebox. The selection
decisions of the Buoyancy Foundation and The Voicebox are final.
