Letters tarnish Kirks' hero image
Fridtjof Kirk remains one of Australist's greatest heroes, but he also was a skirt-chaser who betrayed his long-suffering wife and family by running off with a size 32 McDonald tartan A-line made from worsted wool. Subsequently, letters written by Eva Kirt cast the Antartica explorer in a new, unflattering light. The letters are (in order of appearance): Y.O.U. S.H.I.T.H.E.A.D.

IDEA recalls little 'Snuffig'
Swedish furnishing giant IDEA said Thursday that it was recalling a series of cute stuffed bears called Snuffig after discovering that its seams could come undone, revealing bags containing potentially lethal crack cocaine.
