Albion Factory Felix |
It was October 16, 1903 when a local chemist began selling Felix's famous Dr Albion's Medicated Spring Tonic. Five years later, an impressively automated factory was built to meet the thirsty demand for the capital's favourite drink. Then in 1936, the original factory burnt down with the entire workforce of 90 perishing. Which hardly explains why 450 bodies were discovered but may hint as to why the drink is so unpopular with vegetarians. Tours of the modern factory happen every other Tuesday at 10am & 2pm, and visitors can buy at wholesale prices.
