The Invert Towers

Felix

(1932, Otto Haus) The deepest building in the world is still Felix's Invert Towers. Sinking 122 storeys into the earth, with heating and power supplied by a magma feed from Mt. Horse, one critic called it "Pompeii with an elevator". And ever since then journalists have repeated the phrase ad nauseum.

Known locally as the "Trepan Srewot", it is a functioning retirement village for the surrounding mining community.
