An Annotated Life

Author Ariel Old

Banned by sponsors:
Her so-called “cash for commas” agreement would’ve probably gone unnoticed until she exposed the deal on her own WWW site.

As part of her ongoing radical agenda for her ever-public life, Harry Halt’s daughter accepted vast amounts of sponsorship monies from commercial interests to include favourable remarks about various products and services in her various media excretions. The former sponsors successfully had the book withdrawn but never got their money back.

Review
Oh yeah, sure. I’ll review this rubbish when you get the Pope to review the Kama Sutra. One more phone call from you people and I’ll have you so swamped in lawyers
you’ll look like a tobacco company. Buzz off!

About the Author
Ariel Old answers some of the questions asked by her readers.

Do you like dogs?
Yes, very much. There’s nothing like dogs to add energy & vitality to your life. Just to keep up with them, and keep them looking good requires a lot of effort. Every day. So here’s what I do: Make sure I get plenty of sleep, and eat a well balanced diet.

And when my schedule won’t allow this, I take Amphetavit®.

Amphetavit contains everything you need to stay in shape and on the go. And it’s made by Pacific Intron, so you know it’s safe.

Why do you have a bird feeder outside your office window?
It’s a good distraction. When I brood at my computer, being grave and thoughtful, it’s nice to have something lively to look at.

And my Phallus bird feeder is a new IDEÅ design that’s easy-care and dishwasher safe. It's available, like the rest of the Scrotum homeware range, in a choice of blue, light blue, light green and/or light yellow.

Now when I stare out the window, I am inspired - by inexpensive and intelligent Swedish design.

Do you visit the library often?
I used to - then I discovered how many books I could easily purchase on-line at CD WOW! It’s like, wow! How easy was that!

It’s true: CD WOW sells more than just CDs - they also stock more books than anyone else, as well as a complete range of last minute gifts, and the cheapest air fares you can find anywhere.

Unfortunately, I still have go to the library to research stuff, but now I can easily own the books I read - and don’t have to worry about library fines or some old bossy librarian telling me what to do.

Portrait of Ariel OldIsn’t Harrow your middle name?
Yes, actually it is. I also have characters in three books named Harrow. Although I was named after my father, I named my characters after Harrow, the makers of my beautiful 3.5 seater leather sofa.

Of course, the Harrow name will always be more synonymous with quality leather furniture.

Why so? Well, for generations, they have been combining finely made leather with exquisitely selected and lasting rich tones that are then coupled with Harrow’s design advances - ensuring the finest leather furniture possible...

...Giving me peace of mind, adding value to my furniture and enhancing my Ile de Marie home.

Is that where you grew up?
No, I grew up outside of Ile De Marie in a town called Seaport.

What color is your pushbike?
That’s a bit personal. And still under negotiation.

Do you believe there are monsters under your bed?
Cybill Shephard once said "Just as you gain wisdom you start to lose brightness. Go figure."

Well, I’m bright enough to know that there’s no room under my bed.

And I’m also smart enough to use Ultima II’s Glowtion Skin Brightening Moisturizer. Its super moisturizers and a hint of sheer colour instantly brighten skin and even out skin tone.

  • Light reflectors minimize flaws
  • Vitamins A & C nourish skin
  • SPF 25 protects

It can be worn alone or under makeup.

What is your favorite kind of pie?
Oh, that’s easy. Apple pie. That’s very American, isn’t it? I think America is so interesting!

People often ask me if I’ll write historical fiction about our country, but I don’t know when I’d ever have the time. I’m busy with American stories at the moment.

Do you still keep the spare key in the lip of the geranium planter at the side of the house?
Oh, my god it’s you isn’t it. Elvis, stay away from me. Those of you who have been to my web site, will know the whole story. I’ve got to check on the children.

Oh by the way, CD WOW now offer auctions, group calendaring and peer to peer file facilities.
