Photon | Travelling south we come across faded signs for the town of Photon. The town is nowhere to be seen. Photon was founded by a collective of documentary filmmakers in the 1920s. All the townsfolk owned motion picture cameras.

Photonians spent their days recording the life of the town in detail. Unfortunately at the height of the Heatwave of 1938, the highly inflammable acetate footage exploded. 219 people perished because of an ignorance of good archival practices.

Surviving

There is little surviving footage of this once thriving film colony.
