Every new Traverse Guide is an act of spiritual renewal, a chance to go back to the basics and deeply question how and why we compile these travel commentaries.

With the Australis project we decided to ask our staff which areas this publication should examine.

This list resulted from this process:

• Drugs

• Exclusive nightclubs

• Exclusive hotels

• Extremely expensive food

Curiously, the list is almost identical to the one created by our staff at the beginning of our last guide. It is this kind of consistency that we have become famous for.
