The nadir of Mount Gutter's Low Society is the Over Ball where unhappily married couples will pay $5 a ticket to seek out someone else's significant other and then be ostentatiously found in a compromising position with their new "friend". Culminating in the only mass divorce ceremony in the world, this is the highlight of the week for the town's lawyers.
