Theatre Of Malevolent Bodies

Acrostic

(1912) Here, on 21 June 1914, Henry Norfolk's Meme Mime - the revolutionary mime troupe - first performed Rayman's Time of Belanglo. Riots followed the three-hour performance - which only consisted of expletives shouted at the audience by a blind rollerskater - Norfolk.

The actor/director managed to flee the mobs for the short-lived sanctuary of the Holy Trinity church opposite the theatre. Unfortunately, Monsignor L'Alma, who "liked a nice night's entertainment" had also attended the premiere performance and soon gave up Norfolk to the silent mob. He was torn limb from limb. With the crueller members of the crowd miming his dismemberment for those who could not see what was going on. Norfolk's flesh was nailed to the theatre's doors and soon brought a literal meaning to the phrase "culture vulture".
