Meeting notes
October 2009
President, Pam Hammer, welcomed Members, Marina read the Minutes, Darelle presented the Correspondence and Helen presented the Treasurer’s Report.
2009 Exhibition: Pam congratulated Shirley Loddington (Megan Terry Award), Pat Bullard (Irving Green Award), Heather Bingham (Viewers’ Choice Award), and Eileen Campbell (Member’s Challenge Award). She thanked Siena College, Noel Jones Real Estate and The Patchwork Emporium for sponsorship, and Committee Members.
Skill Shares: Possibility of a workshop by overseas tutor, Bonnie Mc Caffery, in 2010.
30th Anniversary Luncheon: About 80 have booked for Luncheon. Bring special decorations for your table. There will be a Sit’ n Sew in the foyer, with the Hall being set up for the Luncheon, which will begin at noon.
Anniversary Calendar: Much good feedback on the calendar, now available at $15ea.
Gift Quilts: Gift quilts have gone to Box Hill Salvation Army Emergency Relief, and bushfire victims in Flowerdale and other communities. Prue thanked all who have helped.
Pam recently attended P’s & Q’s hand-over of 389 Gift Quilts to the Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Unit of Victoria Police. She commended P’s & Q’s on a great effort.
Symposium 2010: There will be a Survey Form in the next Newsletter, requesting your ideas for Tutors and Workshops. Please fill in and return. It may be possible to book a Tutor, who is not available for the Symposium, for a one-off Workshop.
Committee: Election of Office Bearers at AGM on Monday 9 November. Please consider nominating as President, Vice-president or Minute Secretary.

Presentation of the cheque to Glenallen Special School: Pam will contact the school.

Guest Speaker: Rosemary Brown: the “Cottage by the Sea” quilts/bedspreads, which are part of the Queenscliff Historical Museum.
