Art quilts are my passion, I love to manipulate fabric with colour
and heavy stitchery creating surface and texture, and have been
known to obliterate the fabric underneath covering it
with whimsical nonsense! The idea of entertaining the
viewer appeals to me, leading their eyes through a jungle of colour
and thread and then appealing some more to look again at my quilts
in a rather nonsensical way.
I have had work published including front cover of Textile Fibre
Forum February 2000, Down Under quilts, Australian Patchwork &
quilting, New Zealand Quilter, Popular Patchwork (U.K.) Art Stream.
My current work is based on the Australian forest, I am driven
by the vast array of texture and colour within this mighty realm.
I belong to a group of Australian quilt artists called TWIST,
our exhibition Twist Interpretations of the Natural
Environment has been exhibited in the U.K., Europe, New Zealand
and Australia.
