| I look at AFL Auskick and ask myself
these questions. Fortunately, I know the answers as well…
Is it OK for boys and girls?
You bet it is, everyone is involved.
Is it OK for kids and their parents?
Sure is, it's run by the community for the community.
Is it fun?
You're joking, is footy fun? It's the greatest game in the world.
Is it safe?
AFL Auskick has been developed with fun and safety as its prime drivers.
Will it work for very young kids?
AFL Auskick starts with five year olds, and teaches kids fundamental
motor skills.
What will we get out of it?
Everyone - kids and parents - learn the best game in the world, and
makes new friends. It's for life.
Anything else I need to know?
Yep, if you have a go, you'll end up fitter healthier and discover part
of yourself you never knew existed. |
And parents benefit as well.
The involvement of parents is a key
part of the program's success so I encourage you to get out of the car
and get active. The AFL Development staff and the Centre Coordinators
will give you all the advice and help you need - you don't need a
background in this game, just a desire to contribute to your child's
development. You will be well rewarded, believe me.
