Bunna Lowrie

An indigenous performer whose been thrilling audiences around the globe with his unique lyrics and traditional tribal sounds, Bunna Lowrie of the Townsville-based band Coloured Stone, is currently touring on the east coast of Australia to celebrate 25 years in the music industry.

Born in Kooniba, 50km west of Ceduna in South Australia, Bunna Lowrie has won countless awards throughout his career, including an ARIA and the Don Banks Music Award.

After returning from the Survival 2003 Indigenous Cultural Festival in Western Australia, Nicole Findlay caught up with Bunna to find out more about his career and life in general.
