Our guest is Dr. Alice Mills from the University of Ballarat. She is the senior consulting editor of a prestigious new book entitled Mythologies. Lavishly illustrated, it is a scholarly but very accessible book and a landmark in Australian publishing. And both the State Library and Ned were born in the same year* 1854. The exhibition is open to the public from the 26th of November. The Indian Film Industry is the largest in the world, as measured by the number of films produced each year, but it is not well known outside the Indian sub-continent. That is slowly changing as more films are sub-titled, and the stories move away from the sachrine dance-musical-romance formats. Now in its fourth year, the Indian Film Festival, titled Bollywood Masala, opens on 25th November in Melbourne before playing Perth, Brisbane and Hobart.
