And in NSW, the work of SIR OSWALD BRIERLY* a ship board artist of the nineteenth century, goes on show at the State Library. Lynette Wallworth has had a diverse career, including Artist -in -Residence at the 2002 Adelaide festival. Her interactive projection work, Unheard Voices, Invisible by Night, is part of the Melbourne Festival from dusk to dawn in Melbourne's Federation Square. It's paintings from the brush of Norwegian artist EDVARD MUNCH* most famous for the painting The Scream* one version of which was stolen from a museum in Oslo recently. And now a second exhibition* SIR OSWALD BRIERLY was part of a great tradition of British ship board artists who sailed on voyages of exploration and discovery and helped extend European knowledge of Australia and the South Pacific. 110 years after his death in 1894* his work is on display at the State Library of New South Wales.
