Three Queensland Creative Fellowships?each worth 40 thousand dollars have been announced?we'll hear from one of the lucky recipients.  And a scheme to provide experience in new media production is bringing opportunity to outback youth.
Our guest this week is noted singer songwriter Kev Carmody?one of Australia's most talented lyricists?he'll be talking with Nicole Findlay?and we also talk to Pang Siu Yuin (Pang Sew Yu-in)?senior manager of the Singapore Symphony Orchestra?which is twenty-five years old this year.  And Nina Marie is unwell this week?so we'll have a little poetry from the Red Room Project.

Three Queenslanders have been awarded 40 thousand dollar Creative Fellowships.  They are actor BILLE BROWN?new media artist JENNIFER FRASER?and visual artist SIMON MEE.  Simon will undertake a series of large scale oil paintings entitled The Suburban Sweet?and we spoke to him in his Carina Heights studio?in suburban Brisbane?

SIMON MEE?one of three winners of the Queensland Creative Fellowships?and we'll hear from actor?director and writer BILLE BROWN on a future program. EPIC is the Emerging Producers In Community initiative?funded by the Australia Council.  EPIC give opportunities for ambitious wannabees to learn the skills of new media production.  While these opportunities are easy to come by in the cities?the country is poorly served.  EPIC aims to change all that.  ANNA BRAIN spoke to IAN CORCORAN?one of the internees running this pilot project?
