While much of the agreement is to do with industry and agriculture, several parts touch directly on Australian cultural production and consumption. For the media industries, especially cinema and television, present arrangement on Australian content stand, but for future media, the devil is in the detail, and the government has been slow to release the specific wording of the agreements. But in one area, intellectual property and copyright, the consequences are clear.
