TX: 4:04 Eastern Time 1 October 2007 THIS PROGRAM IS 55' 50" WITH A NATURAL BREAK AT 30' 09¡¨ This week¡K I¡¦ve been in Sydney attending the Arts Activated conference, organised by Accessible Arts NSW and the Spastic Centre of NSW, and held at the Conservatorium of Music in Macquaire Street¡K indeed in the new extensions to the Con¡K rooms and galleries carved into the sandstone beneath the Botanic Gardens¡K are quite an architectural experience in their own right. So we¡¦ll hear from Sansha Donald, the chief executive of Accessibility Arts about the issues of access to the arts, for both audiences and performers who suffer any form of disability¡K and from one of the many artists present at the conference who are running programs for disabled practitioners¡K Matthew Perry who co-ordinates the Art in the Garage project in the Bega valley on the far south coast of New South Wales. ANAT is calling for entries in the second iteration of their project to explore art and the mobile phone¡K it is called Portable Worlds and the first exhibition opens in Berri in the Riverland of South Australia, this last week of September.
