Craig Crater is ARTS alive's guest this week. He spoke to Vincent O'Donnell and helped to unravelled his interesting role as a sound editor. Presenting an excerpt from the Australian feature film "Heaven's Burning", Craig peeled off the mysterious layers of the audio tracks - from the location recording to the effects track to the music track - and explained the vital role that sound plays in films.
In his interview, Craig talked about his way to sound editing for films from an apprenticeship in ABC. He also discussed with Vincent about the influence of technological impact and creativity on film sound editing.
