the Vic Venue Guide
[interview, Dean Michael - 3 minutes 10 seconds]
A guide to access and facilities at over 75 Victorian entertainment, sporting and cultural venues has just been published by Arts Access. "The Vic Venue Guide", the first venue guide published in Australia, not only lists useful details, both in words and with maps, about the venues such as seating plans, toilets, parking, drink and food facilities; but the guide also tells you things you may need to know to get there like booking information and taxi information.
Nicole Foote spoke to Dean Michael, the project manager to find out more about what was in the guide, how the book was funded, and the purpose of producing the publication.
"The Vic Venue Guide" is published by Hyland House for $19.95. If you have trouble getting a copy, call Arts Access on (03) 9699 8299 or contact via e-mail. (Note: weblinks updated)
