hurrah for Owen's bitters end

David Owen, a Zimbabwean born writer, begins as a poetry writer. But now a resident of Tasmania, he is becoming more of an Australian writer. His published works are identifiably Australian, including "Bitters End", which is the source of the screen play of the new Australian film "Hurrah".

Vincent O'Donnell, on location with the feature film "Hurrah" at Wentworth NSW, spoke to David about the source of his novel - a story about a man lost the love of his life - as well as his other novel works. David also talked about what his causes of coming to Australia from Zimbabwe, and the dilemmas he encounter of defining himself as an Australian writer.
