While CD-roms are only available from computer shops, multimedia has a wider appeal than hard & soft-ware nerds. How can multimedia prove itself as a potential fine art and get into galleries, book shops or the arts pages of newspapers?

Kevin Murray spoke with Vincent O'Donnell about the development of a more critical perspective towards multimedia and how the Interact Asia Pacific Multimedia Festival, which happens each year in Melbourne around the beginning of November, is bringing multimedia to the people.
