Martin Johnson: past woodcutter, contemporary poet

[interview, Martin Johnson - 5 minutes 11 seconds]

In the previous program Arts Alive reported on the Country Writers Festival, held in Shepparton of rural Victoria recently. Among the many guests was South Australian vernacular poet Martin Johnson. With limited primal education, Martin's manuscripts - published and unpublished - however reflect both his deep feeling about contemporary issues and his hard efforts of breaking new grounds.

Here he is talking with Jan Chandler about his work and his way of becoming a poet from timbering.
