Neuromancer on stage is a multimedia extravaganza

[interview, Lynne Ellis - 6 minutes]

William Gibson's "Neuromancer" was a milestone in cyber-literature, re-defining what a novel could be. But would it work on the stage?

Nicole Foote spoke to Lynne Ellis, director-in-residence at the Royal Melbourne Inistitute of Technology, who believed it could and set out to create "Neuromancer", the play with RMIT Union Arts. In this interview, Lynne, who believes we are already in a world of Gibson's visions, revealed her overwhelming tasks of both adapting "Neuromancer" on stage and dealing with the big boys in Hollywood, who owns the novel's film rights. Lynne also gave us a brief idea about the playfulness of multimedia in the production.
