PDGV heading towards the Millennium

[story - 4 minutes 52 seconds]

Prominent Australian film-makers Fred Schepsi and Tim Burstall have been honoured on September 1 by the Producers and Directors Guild of Victoria, in recognition of their contributions to Australian film industry and to the Guild, founded in the 1970s.

On the same occasion, the Guild launched its new Millennium project. Developed in conjunction with OPENChannel Productions, the project is aimed at making a feature film set around the last ten days of the twentieth century. Creating for the commercial market, the project yet will be undertaken by a group of selected emerging scriptwrights, producers and directors. Nasya Bahfen reports for Arts Alive.

Script submission for the Millennium project is now open to all PDGV or/and OPENChannel memebers until December 19.
