It is the right thing to do to provide a healthy variety for Australian audiences. However, struggles of providing such a variety is not that easy, at least not for community television stations.

CTS, Community TV Sydney, has had a hard trot these past two years, facing bankruptcy and licence renewal hearings among many problems. On a recent visit to Sydney, Vincent spoke with the CTS program co-ordinator, Tom Zelinka, and asked what was the philosophy underpinning CTS, how could community television finance itself, what disadvantages does CTS face and what is the threshold of quality for CTS's programs.
