However, Rachel is not exactly an Australian. She carries an Australian passport, but is an indigenous Norfolk Islander, and can trace her ancestry to Polynesian and English roots. A native of the island nation in the Pacific, Rachel is the fifth generation grand daughter of Fletcher Christian, the leader of the mutineers on the Bounty. In this interview with Vincent O'Donnel, Rachell revealed the history and cultural background of her homeland, Norfolk Island; and their relationships with Australia and Australian culture.
