demolish threat to yellowish cultural heritage

[interview, George Gittoes - 4 minutes 08 seconds]

The Yellow House, in Macleay Street in Sydney's King's Cross, was probably the first experimental art space in Australia. The gallery was a focus for emerging artists and experimental film makers, in a part of Sydney that had been a haven for artist for almost a century. But now the building is faced with demolition, and this modern historic site might be lost.

Vincent O'Donnell spoke for Arts Alive to George Gittoes, appointed spokesperson of the Yellow House perservation project, on the cultural values of the Yellow House, hence why we should preserve the site.
