LOUD forum of winners

To provoke a discussion on the festival, Arts Alive invited a range of young people who are directly involved or related to LOUD as winners in different media. They are:

Josh McDougal, one of ten winners out of 350 entries of the LOUD 'Bedroom Bangers' competition where he gets to DJ a one and a half hour set on Triple J's 'mix-up' program;

Phip Murray, co-editor (as well as involved in lots of publicity) of the Melbourne Branch of LOUD's on-line magazine, NOISE;

Joe Hilderbrand, winner of the LOUDest Article (investigative category) for his article in Melbounre University's student newspaper, "Farrago", called "Is There An Auditor In The House?"; also the co-winner of the LOUDest Image - political satire: "Who's Bad?" in which Jeff Kennett's face is imposed over Michael Jackson's album cover photo;

Nicole Foote (our own Nikky), winner of the LOUD Triple J's 'Creatures of the Spotlight' presenter position, presenting the show on the last two Sundays of January 1998; and

Ago Soldate, winner of the LOUD/Recovery Hosting Competition, presenting ABC TV's Saturday morning show 'Recovery' with Dylan Lewis. (Note: weblinks updated)
