The site, a former garment manufacturing business, is undergoing a complete renovation to be reborn as the Artary Gallery in late April 2001.
The opening exhibition will showcase the works of the founding members of the Artary project and will coincide with the launch of the all new www.artary.org website.
The main gallery space features a pressed tin ceiling, concrete floor and a ceiling height of 3.5 metres. Abundant natural light floods in from the floor to ceiling windows which face High street Regent. The middle gallery features baltic pine floorboards and provides a more intimate atmosphere.
The Artary gallery is an evolving entity and in the future we anticipate the construction of an outdoor exhibition space at the rear of the property. We would also like to further develop the second level as a dual purpose area that will provide both extra exhibition space and workshop facilities.
