VISITS
- Monthly visits to gardens featuring Australian
native plants (and sometimes including exotics)
- Majority of visits to private gardens,
occasionally public gardens
- Some visits to private gardens participating in
the Open Garden Scheme
- Recent visits have included trips to large and
small private gardens in Maroondah, Manningham
and Whitehorse regions and further afield
- Visits to public gardens such as Royal Botanic
Gardens Cranbourne and Melbourne, Maranoa Gardens
Balwyn.
- Local visits are usually scheduled for afternoons
- 2 pm to 4 pm on the Sunday after the Friday
evening meeting
- Gardens further afield may be an all day outing -
perhaps a bus trip
- Afternoon tea and friendly social interactions
- All welcome - a relaxing way to increase your
knowledge of Australian native plants
