Animal Liberationists will stage a memorial procession outside city fur shops, to mark the death of the millions of animals which die as a result of the fur trade, and to remind consumers that animals continue to be trapped, drowned, or beaten to death in the wild, and gassed, strangled or electrocuted on "farms" to make fur garments.
The past European winter has seen a resurgence in the promotion of real animal fur. Many designers included fur in their collections and models, such as Naomi Campbell, who in the past have sworn never to wear fur again, paraded it down the catwald.
Animal Rights activists internationally protest the fur industry in eye-opening actions stressing that cruelty does not go in and out of fashion. Fur was once a status symbol - now it s a social liability.
Broadcast-quality video footage of animals on fur farms and in traps is available on request.
