Note:
Much of the information in these pages refers to the “Church of England” both as building and as denomination. It also refers to “Anglican”, both as building and as denomination. The two terms are synonymous. The denomination known as “The Church of England in Australia” (or simply to most local people as “Church of England” or “C of E”) changed its name to the “Anglican Church of Australia” in 1981, by which name the denomination is now known.

7. The “Iron Pot”
Hot in summer, cold in winter, this old prefabricated building came from England in crates with only a picture from the Illustrated London News as instructions. It was originally on the foreshore on Hobson's Bay. Read here how it came to Collingwood.
