This is the page to check for activities happening around the place. We concentrate mainly but not exclusively on Melbourne and mainly, but again not exclusively, on activities of the Anarchist Media Institute/Libertarian Workers.

This page will also be mainly devoted to anarchist activities, though this is taken broadly to take in activities which may not be essentially anarchist in nature but which anarchists are involved in.

Vote Informal Today - Direct Democracy Tomorrow

This dynamic & new political party (if we get enough people registered as members to meet party registration requirements) has been described as "...a frontal assualt on Australian Parliamentary democracy."

In fact, this party is perhaps more properly described as the culmination of Australian democracy.

To join costs a 45c stamp. To stand as a candidate for the party requires your decision. As long as you don't declare an intention to be elected to parliament you will receive the endorsement of the party. You can even stand against fellow members and the party will encourage you!

For further information and registration forms go to the party web page by clicking here!
