Vote Informal Today Direct Democracy Tomorrow Constitution

A. Aims
Vote Informal Today Direct Democracy Tomorrow is a political party that promotes Direct Democracy as an alternative to Parliamentary Rule. The organisation will stand candidates in federal elections who will encourage electors to VOTE INFORMAL. By pursuing a strategy of informal voting we will be mounting a direct challenge to the illusion that power lies in Parliament, and we will be promoting a democratic alternative to parliamentary rule.
B. Parliamentary Candidates
Any member of Vote Informal Today Direct Democracy Tomorrow is free to stand as a candidate in any federal election.
C. Finances
Any member who decides to stand is RESPONSIBLE for their nomination fees and any electoral expenses they incur. The party takes no responsibility for any electoral expenses incurred by the candidate. The party will not accept any donations. All funds and assets raised by the candidates remain the responsibility and assets of the candidate.
D. Co-ordination
Any member who decides to nominate for a Federal parliamentary seat must advise the Party Registered Officer of nomination details and send his/her nomination fee to the registered officer. Once the Parties Registered Officer receives written details of Nomination and the nomination fee, nomination papers will be signed by the Registered Officer. Under Commonwealth law a nominee cannot use the party’s name unless nomination forms are signed by the Parties Registered Officer.
E. Membership Fees
Membership Fee for 5 years - a 45 cent stamp. Please attach stamp to form.

F. Automatic Expulsion
Any member of VOTE INFORMAL TODAY DIRECT DEMOCRACY TOMORROW who is standing as a Federal parliamentary candidate will be automatically expelled from the party if they publicly encourage electors to vote formally during the election period.
G. Constitutional Changes
Changes to the constitution are made by CONSENSUS. Consensus must be reached by all financial members of the organisation.
