Established
Established May 1979 as a joint project of the Education Department of Victoria and the City of South Barwon and opened by the HON L.H.S. Thompson, Minister of Education.

Purpose
To provide a library service to the school and the public using a shared facility. The public can see school activities when using the library. Students have access by computer to the very large collection of the Geelong Regional Library.

Collection, services and typical key activities that take place in the TPS library. The library has a children's and adults fiction and non-fiction collection including taped books. The school section has teacher reference, charts and kits. Users of the public library can subscribe to the C.D. library. Weekly Story-time for pre-schoolers is conducted by the public librarian. The school uses the library to teach Indonesian to it's students for 20 hours a week.
