We have tried to include all the information you may need about the facilities and activities of our group. Warrnambool is the major coastal city in the south-west of the State of Victoria, Australia. The population of Warrnambool is around 28,000 and is located on the beautiful Great Ocean Road & 'shipwreck coast' and is surrounded by some of the most productive dairying land in Australia. The basic purpose of the Group is to foster the study of Family History in Warrnambool and the surrounding district by conducting a varied range of activities in which members and the public may participate. The Group maintains and staffs a Reference Library at HeritageWorks, Gilles Street, Warrnambool which provides a range of resources for Australian and overseas research and collects and indexes local Family History material for the use of members and the public. HeritageWorks is staffed by volunteers who have an interest in, and expertise with, local, National and International research tools. Normal Opening hours for HeritageWorks are:
