Reinforced Concrete T-girder Bridges. Benalla Bridge 1910.

Eight of the ten 12.2m spans are visible, supported on low piers. The edge girder and deck provide a strong horizontal line. This is broken at each pier by a scrolled corbel supporting a baluster. Between the balusters is light metal handrailing. The original piers consist of three columns spaced across the width of the bridge, and joined by arches.

The bridge was widened with a parallel structure in 1940. This view is of the original 1910 side of the bridge. The extra piers of the newer structure, visible on the far side, complicate the picture.
