Typical single-span Monier arch bridge.

Oblique bird's eye view with portions cut away to reveal the vault of the arch, with spandrels walls supported on its longitudinal edges. Between the walls is earth fill. On top of them are the parapet walls. At the near end, the approach embankment is cut away to reveal the mass concrete abutment block.
