First King's Bridge, Bendigo, after collapse.

The near edge of the bridge, representing one third of its width, has collapsed into the channelised creek. The brick spandrel walls and the parapet, with its basalt capping, add to the debris. A traction engine, which also fell, lies inverted. A road roller is perched on the solid portion of the bridge with one driving wheel over the edge.
