John Monash: Engineering enterprise prior to WW1.

Ford's Creek Bridge, Mansfield. Turning the Monier arch.

An oblique view from the bank shows falsework supporting the formwork for the arch. Concrete has reached about the third point of the span on the nearest side. Workers are tipping and spreading on the far side. Two men supervise.

The figure against the horizon on the right holding drawings, is probably John Monash. The figure next to him is probably James Cleeland, Shire Engineer.
