Patience of Nature
Time for bed cries the baby
Door slowly squeaking inwards
It will not shut
Crumpled tracksuit bottoms lie aghast on the carpet
Sighing with the tedium of it
Aching for release
Here take it
Sadly
Mirrors in the room two
Sandwiched between two wardrobe doors
Peered into and stared at
Shadow free me from substance
Feel a need for a nice cup of tea dearie
Slice of cake
Take it away
Eagerly
Frowning the bald eagle stood atop my lamp
Beak illuminated like a Christmas firework display
Non moving
Patience of Nature
Man cannot stand still.
