Portnoy and the father

Pleas father forgive me for I have sinned.
I took the holy cup and had a few pints in it down the local
What shouts the father reaching up to the skies in supplication
Guiness father, lovely and black with a creamy head.
Tasted divine
Like nectar
Drink of the Gods.
Enough screams the father crossing hisself
Go away and say 100 Hail Mary’s for your sins
Priest picks up the returned golden chalice and runs for the door.
Vester grabs him
Where you off to Vic
No where you heathen fool. Now unhand me
Crashing through the doors into a party of old people coming to the church one last time.
Forgive us father they murmur at him in passing.
Omni Patri mouths the priest not stopping in pace
Into the Hail and Hearty
Your best Guiness please barman and stick it in there.
No probs grandad
It’ll do you good
Put hairs on your chest
Lead to divine intervention after a few more
Father drinks it down in a gulp
More he cries
The barman nods at his accomplice
They’ve seen it all before and know they are in for another long night.
