Evening Meal
Scrunch, scrunch, the kettle heats up
Funny tin one Trish bought somewhere
Forget where
Comes back from little trips with all kinds of odds and ends
Green glass jug arrived silently on the top shelf today
Nice looking jug
Like a jolly green short fat giant
Arm curled on the side
Ready to pour
Steak, Tbone for tea
Creamy potatoes, peas, gravy and onions
Two slices of bread liberally buttered
Corn on the cob
Only half
Slob of butter melting along its length
New pepper and salt shakers
Scrunchers really
You turn them and the stuff crunches out the bottom.
