Lower Homebush State School #2258- Ring a Rosy: note the picket fence extending around the perimeter of the school block. If you look hard perhaps you can see something of the wooden floor that ran under the veranda. None of the large sugar gums appear to have been planted as yet and the Avenue of Honour will be there until post WW1.

This photo of the inside of the big class room was set up for a wedding? The school was often used for various celebrations especially after the Home Bush Recreation Hall was no longer in existence. Many Saturday evening dances were held in this room well into 1900's. The large picture hanging on the far right, which is over the fire place, could be the Roll of Honour for those who served in the Great War [WW1]. The late Tom Templeton's family returned that roll to the school following his death.
